Two big fluffy slices of pancake topped with butter, corn and mixed berries.

Spread the butter and drizzle maple syrup on top makes for a very comfortable brunch food amidst lovely view of Alkaff Mansion’s surrounding.

Now I consider myself to be a pasta connoisseur and I usually have high standards when it comes to this Italian dish.

Wildseed Cafe's Truffle Carbonara is a fairly good offering to the many pasta options on this little island. Deliciously creamy with flavours of truffle and added bacon and mushrooms - you can't go wrong with that. Though I would say the pasta had a little more bite than I would usually prefer and it could have used a couple more minutes to Al Dente perhaps.

Alas, for the scenery and aesthetic of Alkaff Mansion, it's worth the trip alone.

One of the coveted brunch locales of Singapore is none other than Wildseed Cafe at The Alkaff Mansion. Located on the hills of Mount Faber, this stunningly gorgeous location would surely impress your date. Cue the Instagram photos.

The brunch menu over at Wildseed is fairly good. Nothing too mind blowing as it's your usual fanfare but it does complement the location's aesthetic - especially if you are seated outdoors or at the conservatory. The prices are a lil steep as well but you essentially pay for location location location.

Don't be fooled by it's secluded location as well; the crowds are not to be underestimated. Singaporeans do love their brunch spots, lawd Jesus.

The original Wildseed in Seletar is lovely for brunch, but let's give some love to its younger sister at the Alkaff Mansion. This completely alfresco cafe sits in the mansion's courtyard, serving up gourmet breakfasts and housemade patisseries and cakes. Burppler Ni Yuan says to try the Egg Croissant ($13) as "the pairing of brie with the runny sous vide eggs was perfect". Try the delicious Miso Shiitake Linguine ($17) as well, which Burppler singaporiyums thought was wonderful. Bring your dogs and kids – all are welcome!

the bagel eggs benny ($16) was pretty filling! the hollandaise sauce was more on the savoury side and the bagels were dense!

i quite liked this despite all the reviews here about this dish being overpriced. i get that it costs about 2-3 times more than the usual kaya toast one can get from a kopitiam but given the grand atmosphere of the alkaff mansion, and the fancy little touches made to the dish such as the decision to use chewy sourdough bread, sprinkling dried coconut and gula melaka bits, and that huge chunk of butter... i think it was not that outrageously priced
