Interesting flavours for pie!
The strawberry lemon pie was very refreshing and unlike most of your usual pies which are sweet and far from acidic. This pie could be a little too sour for those who do not appreciate sour dishes. However, it was just right for me as the torched meringue neutralised the sourness from the filling. The pastry tho was not as buttery or flaky as I had hoped for. For the pumpkin pie, it does not have a strong taste when you first bite into it. The sweet potato kind of taste only comes in after a while. For the accompanying cream, you could see black specs and that’s because they use real vanilla to make it! Pretty good effort!
On a side note, because of the virus, we weren’t able to eat in the store and had to find some table nearby to consume the pie
Overall rating: 7/10

Ordered 1 of each flavour they had at Windowsill Pies. All of them were great. Personal top 3 are Banana Bourbon, Apple Frangipane, and The Grasshopper (chocolate mint). But frankly you can't go wrong with any of them.
Preferred the rum & apple one! It was slightly cold, so the baked Granny Smith apples + almond custard combi tasted rather refreshing. The rum-steeped raisins were juicy but I felt like it wasn’t a great pairing with the apple pie.
The pecan pie was really sweet, it’s just a brown sugar filling with pecan nuts on top. Kinda one-dimensional, wouldn’t get this flavour again!
Liked the pie crusts! They weren’t soggy nor greasy :)
This on the other hand, absolutely glorious. Pecan was good but the filling had such a depth of flavour and warm embrace of spices. No wonder windowsill is famous, probably coming back for it
Haters gonna hate but imma keep it real
Okay only. I mean it's exactly what u expect a mint choc ice cream to taste if it were made into a pie. Whole fam found it ok. Guess the hype comes from this being a rare flavour for pies
Grasshopper: 9/10 (one of my favs bc I love the mint + flourless chocolate cake combo)
Banana cognac: 9/10 (another one of my favs bc I love the almond brittle + light banana whip combo)
Rum & Apple: 7/10 (The classic apple pie)
Toucan: 8/10 (love the tanginess of the passionfruit)
Strawberry Lemon: 6/10 (was too sour for my liking)
But overall, their pies never disappoint!
