Western meets Asian version of a classic apple strudel. Unfortunately the pastry was too thick and doughy; and cutting it into bite pieces was a messy affair as the apple filling would spew out. The combination of vanilla ice cream, chopped pistachios and custard creme anglaise was delicious though. The custard creme anglaise was light, smooth and creamy with a nice of balance of sweetness to it.

This white wine is definitely a dessert wine league. It just tastes sweet and nothing else, all girls will fall for it.

If you don't like the red wine's dry taste. You should go for the white. For me, both are sweet, just white wine is sweeter.

Woah this is very affordable and suitable for the ladies... Its has the red wine dryness taste but sweeter version, all girls sure will be able to accept this red wine..

Want to impress a girl definitely a wine to go for.

Spanish Style Gambas ($14) - Sautéed shrimps cooked in garlic and dusted in paprika, olive oil and chili. This was my favorite dish...so flavorful! BBQ Pork Ribs ($18) - Slow cooked pork ribs, BBQ sauce, coleslaw, potato wedges. Spanish Paella ($39) - Traditional paella with mussels, prawns, calamari, spicy Spanish chorizo (pork) and chicken drumsticks.

Love their super thin crust Hawaiian Pizza @wineconnectionsg. Love it thin and crunchy, without tiring my jaw. With that juicy pineapple topped with cheese and ham, well.. can you feel it?

It was only a few nights ago that I walked past Wine Connection in Katong 112 and spied a few pastas that made my mouth water. Having already just eaten, I had to give them a pass.
But as fate would have it, I decided to stay in tonight as I was tired after a business trip to Beijing. So whilst checking out the Deliveroo app for dining options (yes, I was in my pajamas and looking like the ultimate slob!!), I saw Wine Connection listed as one of the places within the delivery radius of my home address. I zipped my order across quicker than a highly-caffeinated Speedy Gonzalez. And I do mean zip. Because the app was as easy as pie to use with only a few simple steps. Now, this is very important because we all know a hungry woman is an angry woman. Definitely not one to have the patience to fiddle with anything complicated.
Even better, my order arrived before the given time of 40 minutes was up - Yay! Now came the taste test. Will the food have survived the ride over? 🤔
The Ceasar Salad ($9) was as to be expected, fine, and my instruction to have the dressing served on the side, heeded. What surprised me though was how good the pastas were! Both were generous in size and not as I feared, soggy. The vegetarian Mozzarella & Spinach Ravioli ($15) were large and cooked a bit softer than al dente in a light tomato sauce. If you're after something healthy yet filling, this would be suitable. However, it was the Chorizo Fettucine ($16) that wow-ed me. Those al dente ribbons were coated in a light cream sauce infused with a spicy kick from the oil of the sliced chorizo. This is THE pasta to get if you're a chilli lover. I also welcomed the softened strips of white onion and capsicum mixed in as they gave a touch of subtle sweetness 😋
