That’s how good this plate of homemade fettuccine with red shrimps and uni butter sauce is. The homemade pasta is fabulous to begin with, bouncy and al dente with a fabulous resistant bite to it. Then there’s the generous amount of sweet, plump and moist Argentinian red shrimps that’re cooked juuuust right. And then you’ve got the silky rich, buttery and briny uni butter sauce tying it all together, with just a touch of citrus and earthy chives to lighten it up. It was so good. My friends would tell you how I desperately tried to get every bit of the sauce in my spoon, and I’d say I was that close to licking the plate 🤭

TLDR; visit by 21 Dec for this cray cray patty melt. I don’t know if I should count myself exceedingly lucky, or immensely unfortunate, to have tasted Wine RVLT’s amazing Patty Melt ($26) on my first visit — 2 days before they remove it from their menu (brb am crying). Their take on the American sandwich, which I would stake my foodie rep on, sees thick slices of milk bread, buttered and toasted to a crunchy golden perfection, holding together a juicy Westholme wagyu patty, melted cheese, some creamy and incredibly zesty sauce gibriche, and some ketchup. Yep, ketchup (fyi I don’t like ketchup). It’s so fuss-free really, but what I love about this sandwich is it (shockingly) managed to change my mind on multiple personal burger rules: one, no ketchup; and two, my dislike for really red meat. I never have my patties anything below medium-well, but RVLT’s tartare-like patty that completely melts in your mouth as you chew just...blew my mind.

Imagine the heartbreak of being ghosted by the 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘥𝘢𝘮𝘯 sandwich you'd ever had (it's being removed from their menu on 21st). This 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝘁𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗹𝘁 ($26) cost a pretty penny, but I'd brazenly proclaim it as the best in Singapore.

I still remember my first time, as will I my last. Those perfectly buttered and crispy buns entering my mouth. The mingling of my saliva with the sensual juices from the succulent beef patty. And the magical blend of sauces that brought a different richness to complement the decadent flavours, but also a balancing sweetness and zestiness — no other has made me swoon like this.

Maybe we should learn to move on from heartbreak — I'm young with a long road ahead of me! On the other hand — someone hold me, I'm afraid of change. 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗹𝘆, go try it if you haven't or you'd 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘁 it.

Incredibly tasty wagyu slices, not so petite, just nice bite size with a portion leaving you craving... My dinner partner does not like the fact that it’s fatless and somewhat less flavourful. Love the fried Hasselback Potato which has the crisp edges of frites and the starchy core! It’s almost stole the show!

I didn’t know what to expect at RVLT as it is my first time dining at a wine bar but the food turned out to be nothing short of amazing😍!

The Beef Tartare ($28) is fresh, well-marinated and refreshing. The beef cubes remind me of bara chirashi and I like that the raw beef is sweet and not gamey at all. The dish is served with smoked egg yolk and crunchy croutons, which give it a robust flavour and texture.

Patty Melt ($26) is a premium sandwich version of a cheeseburger that is served with medium Westholme Wagyu, melted cheese and pillowy buttered toast. The flavourful Wagyu patty is thick, soft and melts in your mouth instantly.

Although the food is pretty pricey given the small portion, the quality makes up it. Feeling pampered this weekend☺️!

The legendary item. Couldn’t believe it’s the first time I’m ordering in over 5 visits. Maybe because it was off menu previously.
