Eventho Wondermama has closed this BV outlet, I still love their fried rice, especially this one with soft shell crab! It's just so delicious and the taste doesn't change no matter how many times I order it. Kudos to the team for keeping consistency, down to presentation. Yums!

Lovely bowl of Nyonya Mee Siam(vermicelli) topped with shredded omelette, fried chicken, beancurd puffs, julienne cucumber, fried shallots and anchovies. You can have them just as it is or poured in some tamarind sauce. I like to complete my meal with a Cham with coffee jelly. Mee Siam RM18.90

This modern variation of the Siamese laksa is served with homemade sambal sotong (spicy cuttlefish), fishcake, tofu puffs, foo chuk (bean curd skin) a boiled egg served with wanton noodles.

This dish consisted of a rick gravy, with an ingredient being the key highlight, the daun kesum, also known as the laksa leaf. This soup was thick and sweet, with the springy bite of the wonton noodles adding quite a beautiful infusion to the mix of textures. The sambal sotong gave it a nice seafood touch, which normally only added to curry laksa.

💵 RM18.90 / bowl

A few days later, I went back and decided to try something salted egg. Pretty damn sure I ordered the chicken chop, but they came back with the burger instead. I thought, why not? I might as well try.

I regretted my decision. I didn't like it at all. I can't seem to remember the price of this burger, probably a little bit more than RM20. I didn't even finish it.

I didn't like the combination of the vegetables, I think that was all. I enjoyed the patty though, and the sauce. So I suppose it isn't that bad. I must make sure I get the salted egg chicken chop the next time then. Or just the famous Mee Siam, that's more than good enough for me 😋

One Tuesday evening, I made plans with my friends and they took forever to reach (not impressed, Balrum and Shanee) 😶

When they finally arrived, I didn't even bother waiting for their food to arrive because my food arrived about 10 minutes earlier than them and I was hungry. Sorry, I usually wait..

This was good, for less than RM20, I thought this was going to be miserable. Boy, was I wrong. The noodle was dry, with the soup on the side. I couldn't pinpoint what soup was it exactly, but it was nice. I recently developed the love for glass noodles, so this was a hit to me. What was interesting to me was the fried chicken. It was so good, really. Then again, I order this all the time anyway 😋

I remember this time when I was beyond hungry, it was only at 1430 that I had my first meal of the day. Upon ordering, I felt like I should have gotten my food right away, but of course I had to wait for a bit.

When it arrived, I ate the fries. After a while I had the carrots. I then had their salad, though not completely fresh, it was still edible. The green peas were an absolute no. The chicken was last, the chicken was so good, or maybe I was so hungry.

For less than RM20, I thought this was worth it. If I wasn't so hungry, I probably won't even be able to finish it. I am suddenly craving for this now..
