We've waxed lyrical about this pizza joint many times before – how many places build their own wood-fired oven AND make their own cheese? Worth the trek to Shah Alam is this humble pizzeria that serves up fresh pies! Bring the gang over to share the signature Margherita (RM26) featuring a chewy sourdough base topped with housemade mozzarella that's extremely creamy and bouncy. Meat-lovers, the salty Beef Pepperoni (RM26) comes highly recommended for a simple pie of cheese, tomato sauce and generous slices of pepperoni. Finish off with a sweet dessert pizza – the warm Nutella & Strawberry (RM22) is pure indulgence.

Not only does this pizza joint sport a self-built wood-fire oven, they also make both their sourdough pizza dough and buffalo mozzarella in-house. How much cooler can they get? This unassuming spot in Shah Alam does Neapolitan-style pizzas justice with their take on the classic Margherita (RM26), which is taken up a notch with their housemade mozzarella that's lusciously milky and bouncy. Another crowd pleaser is the Beef Pepperoni (RM26) brimming with salty pepperoni. For those with a sweet tooth, WOP also offers dessert pies, and the Nutella and Strawberry (RM22) drizzled with dark chocolate syrup is sinfully delicious.

A saltier pizza compared to the rest (cause of the pepperoni) but a good one nonetheless. The tang from the dough does help to cut through that saltiness, but it’s expected given the amount of cheese. Also really appreciate how generous they are with the pepperoni – each slice gets a full one!

They do the classic Neapolitan Margherita justice with their use of sourdough dough and housemade mozzarella. The pie is perfectly seasoned with the right amount of saltiness, and that cheese – omg. Such good flavour and I love how it bounces back with each bite. Honestly I just wished I topped up RM5 for more cheese.

A pizza gem in Shah Alam that doles our some amaaaayzing pies! This one sees mushroom, charred onions, rocket and fresh feta cubes. The heaping amount of arugula gives it a burst of freshness. Absolutely delicious! Could even do without the feta imo.

For casual pizza nights, hit up WOP in Shah Alam's Precint Alami building. This low-key shoplot is adorned with a woodfired oven, telling of how their specialty Neapolitan pies are made. The pizza comes in a default 10-inch size, small enough to finish on your own, or split two with a friend β€” we recommend sharing for the best of both worlds. By that, we mean the Smoked Beef & Rocket (RM29) as well as the Spicy Shrimp Garlic (RM29). The former melds flavourful, fatty smoked beef with crunchy, bittersweet arugula leaves, and is best enjoyed with a drizzle of Tobasco sauce. Meanwhile, the shrimp pizza is juicier, starring garlic-fragrant shrimps covered in melted mozzarella. Their drinks, like the extravagant Freddo Milo (RM6) with condensed milk, run on the sweeter side. If it feels like a stay-in kind of night, there is the option to order via Whatsapp and pick up after. Delivery (from RM5) is available to Shah Alam residents with a minimum order of two pies.
