working title - Burger Bar

4003 Wishlisted
~$20/pax
*Halal-certified The early tale of (working title) brims with nostalgia and grit. Fresh off our newcomer’s high of starting our own business with The Shophouse Boutique Hostel, (working title) was initially meant for nothing more than breakfast and brunch for our guests. But the black hole in the rooftop pantry had expanded and there we were, in a space barely recognisable as a kitchen, finding ourselves suddenly flipping patties onto buns. From the old days of having just the “One and Only Burger” to our current gourmet menu of hand-pressed patties, (working title) encapsulates the essence of The Black Hole Group and our growth over the years. Artisanal coffee, gourmet burgers and curated furnishing - the black hole is full of it.

Really juicy beef patty complemented by the delectable onion jam. An instant midday mood-lifter :) I ordered directly at the shop and managed to get my food within 20 min, which is quite fast considering the number of orders they probably get through food delivery apps!!

Working Title has been on my radar for quite some time but I don’t know why I never bothered trying their burgers before, and I’m pretty damn pissed with myself for not trying them earlier. Finally got the push I needed to head down and get my hands on one of these masterpieces because I saw that they were on Burpple Beyond and let me tell you this, if I try something on Burpple Beyond and after that say that I would pay full price for it, you know this shit be banging. Was skeptical about the duck burger but decided to YOLO and give it a go and hot damn it was a good YOLO. Idk what they did with the duck but the marinade was on point and it was wedged between two ultra crisp and fragrant charcoal buns that didn’t lose their texture even after I spent a solid 15 minutes snapping photos of my food (what a insta hoe I am). The fries just sealed the damn deal for me. They were THICCCCC and outrageously crispy yet the potato insides were oh-so-soft and fluffy, UGH. Will be back. I miss their burgers already.

Very very indulgent burger with triple of cheese mixes - mozzarella, cheddar and provolone. The patty was served medium- slightly charred and very juicy within. Brioche was lightly toasted and glazed with sour ranch sauce, dabbed with pickled red onion 🧅 (a v.much more palatable way for onions on the tongue!) The burg was truly an indulgent treat, and definitely paired more sinfully with very very very crispy thick-cut fries. I’m not a fries-lover but I couldn’t help but munch on the crispy-outside-fluffy-inside potatoes 🥔

Honestly, one of my most favourite places to get my burger fix. The Baconator ($17.90 1 for 1 with #burpplebeyond) is a fail-safe option with a really juicy patty and crispy turkey bacon. The sauce within the burger is superb as well!

For the cheese lovers, you have to get the Cheese & Whiskers ($17.90 1 for 1 with #burpplebeyond) as it comes with a thick slab of melted cheese that is definitely enough to satisfy your cravings.

Both burgers come with buttered brioche bun that is beautifully toasted. The fries are really good as well. With their wonderful service and sick music vibes, this place is perfect for date night or a simple gathering! Well done @workingtitlesg !

Signature ☕️ ($6.50++)
Aromatic coffee beans infused with velvety bandung (milk?) Definitely a laudable execution of floral-y coffee, with just the perfect ratio of bandung vs caffeine such that neither overpowered the other.

Have been back to working title multiple times, which surely says something! Tried the Baa-ger ($17.90++) this time. The lamb patty was surprisingly well seasoned and not gamey! It was topped by provolone cheese and the usual vegetables. Would have liked the garlic aioli to come through more evidently, but I really enjoyed the flavour of the patty! Do note that the prices are not consistent across their online, physical and ordering menus.
