Went for the 中辣
The broth is pretty garlicky and thick, heavy on the msg. Great if you want something that packs a punch 🥊 in terms of flavour.
The cashier didn’t seem to charge differently for whatever food items I chose (no matter meats, veggies, or mushrooms) but perhaps it was because it was a relatively slow moving Sunday late afternoon. The only opened food outlets around North spine were McDonald’s, Subway and this restaurant.

Pretty long wait to get served, despite the short queue. Only 2 staff manning the shop and they were working nonstop.

Not sure why they gave such a huge portion of broth, but while most of them were decently cooked the eggplants were almost raw.

As u can tell the pork bone broth doesn't carry heat on its own, the small spicy is made by adding chili on top. It's not as good as the pork bone mala broth

Also get more meat cos everything is same price anyway

This fared slightly better, the broth and noodles were not too bad and surprisingly not too heavy. Pork ribs could be abit more tender but at least it's not too dry

This wasn't particularly good. The broth seems bulked up without any beefy umami, and it was spicy at the back of the throat without the corresponding complexity and spices

2.58nett for 100g of anything. Rice is chargeable at 1nett

Small spicy is spicy enough. Most of the ingredients are cooked well, esp the crunchy cuttlefish. The pork ribs are abit tough. Noteworthy are the braised chicken feet, they were super well braised with deep flavours.

Not sure if it's cos of a choice of ingredients, but it seems to me even tho for any broth you can choose your spicy level, for the same spicy level the pork bone broth and the pork bone mala broth are fundamentally different. The PB mala has a perceptible peanut taste and was very good. Furthermore there's this very intense, familiar umami, possibly coming from a spice which I can't quite identify. Their broth is absolutely lovely and quite drinkable

No wonder they're so packed even on a Sunday lunch(when many students have gone home)
