Wunderfolks (Joo Chiat)

Finally tried the tarts from @wunderfolks !

Got the 4 tart box! ($32 for four 8cm tarts)

You can choose the desired flavours of your tart, and I picked the following:
- Fruitilicious Mixed Fruit Tart: Filled with madagascan vanilla custard & topped off with grape, strawberry, blueberry and peach.
- Mango Passionfruit Tart: Creamy passionfruit curd topped with mango, pineapple, passionfruit cremeux cubes.
-Lemony Meringue Tart: Pate sablee crust, lemon curd and finished with torched meringue.
- LycheeTart: Lychee rose mousse, finished with a tangy and luscious lychee raspberry whipped ganache.

My favourite was the fruitilicious mixed fruit tart!

Isnt she beautiful because damn what a tart. The lychee curd is smooth with a light lychee taste, and the little pink dollops of cream taste like strawberry cream yum yum. There are also bits of lychee flesh inside.

Fillings are all vv smooth and silky and light! Dark choc is nice and bittersweet but q rich and heaty. Sesame was v nice, nutty and a bit more salty and lighter than a typical bssm paste. Both were good but the sesame one was more outstanding to me! I did wish the tart crust was a little more buttery and crunchy, but it wasn’t soggy even after a few days, and was thin and easy to cut. Looking forward to trying other flavours!

Can I say how wonderful this duo flavoured tart is? Half fruit, half dark chocolate flavour. Was a surprise cake served chilled. Both flavours hit the right notes, with the fruits being sweet and generous and the dark chocolate being smooth and not overly rich. Such a pretty looking tart. This really made my day!

You cant go wrong with a classic mixed fruit tart. The custard is smooth and silky while the fruits are fresh. The tart is on the softer side, would prefer if it was crunchier but overall a great tart!
