I always dread the 30minutes queue, but this YTF store is undoubtedly one of the best in Singapore.

On top of their light, savory soup brewed from beans and anchovy stock, they also deep-fry the fried dishes you have selected. The staff would ask if you’d like kangkong and beansprouts when you’re ordering your food.

My current bowl of 6 ingredients, kangkong and beehoon/yellow mee costs $5.10. A must-order ingredient is their fried meatball! I always get 2 of it when I’m here 😋

Yong tau Foo($5.50)

Ingredients are $0.50 - $1, min 5 items. Add rice or noodles $0.50. Theres also laksa option.

Went for dry version with noodles and beehoon. Asked for no sweet sauce in my bowl. The chilli is quite potent, my stomach was churning at the end of the meal. Portion of the ingredients are quite big as well.

Always long queue! Need to wait at least 15mins.

After years of hearing about it and watching the queues, I finally stole a bowl off peak hours. Indeed, it's the type of ytf that's popular - what I call "unhealthy ytf", if such a thing exists. Think People Park Hakka Yong Tau Fu and the former ytf at Chevron House. Select your items and the stall simply slathers the sauces for you. Every item turned out good. Some even tasted smoky, I don't know what they did. My favourite item was this unidentified umami bomb. The soup was so rich and you actually get the giant anchovies.

It's been years since I've had this yong tau foo and it's still as good! What stood out was the soup with lots of soy beans which makes it very tasty. Do note that you need to pick your ingredients and order before you join the queue.

Located in the heart of Ang Mo Kio, near Ang Mo Kio polyclinic and also a stone’s throw from the MRT, this could be the most glorious bowl of yong tau foo I’ve had yet. The ingredients are fresh, prices are very affordable and the best part is the rich and flavourful soup that blew me away. Many mediocre yong tau foo places have pretty bland soups but the soup here is to die for.

I am probably one of the GREATEST yong tau food (YTF) lovers & this has caught my heart: had this amazing bowl at least 4 times at past 3 months 😍 look at HOW FULL IT IS!!!!! (All for ~$4.60?! Like WAOWWW)

It’s located in the heart of AMK central (~10min walk from mrt) + average queue time of 20min BUT DEFINITELY WORTH IT 👌🏻 (am not a fan of queueing but I go straight to this stall every time I need lunch & am in AMK!) there’s almost never a time when there isn’t a queue (I’ve tried to beat the queue at 11.30am, 2.30pm BUT NOPE always minimum 20min wait.....) it really does say something about this stall 😊

The variety of food items to pick into your bowl is quite good & strongly recommend to order SOUP COS it is SIMPLY SO HEAVENLY 🥰 (a tad bit oily but it is a MUST TRY!!!) ask for veges to be added too! And mifen is a great noodle option :-) (their mifen consistency is really good)
