I love adding tons and tons of the chilli oil paste to my noodle... Loves the broad, chewy texture of the noodle as well. Couldn't beat those which I used to eat in China but already the better one I found in SG. Added $1 for the minced meat but I just wanna slurp up all the chilli-coated noodle in tomato egg broth. I'm forever too full from this to even try the other hot fav 肉夹馍. The rest I didn't touch thou my fren commented that the skin of the Jiao Zi is a tad thick...

One of my favourite places for handmade noodles, Xi’an Famous Foods never disappoints! I love their signature Biang Biang Mian which has their thick handmade noodles, cucumbers, tomato eggs, pork and chilli powder if you want it spicy 😋😋

Second dish for this trip with chilli theme going strong! 🌶 Didn’t have a chance to pick the noodle and we got this round white noodle with plenty of ingredients: carrot, kelp, mushroom and mock meat, tofu. The kelp has a unique cooling taste that contrast with the spicy hot broth 🤓
The overall flavour of this bowl is up to a personal taste bud. The staff is very friendly and good service. We might go back to try their hand pulled noodle.

Have been waiting to try this for some time. We drop by to the hidden food alley and give their 2 dishes a try. The chicken cumin filling is tasty & spicy! 🌶 Would this replace our burger fix? We have yet to make that call as we feel the white bread bun is quite similar to the pita bread.

Unlike most liang pi I’ve had, the sauce here is much thicker and more savoury - wasn’t the kind I expected but it was still nice! The noodles are cut thinner than usual and although they weren’t as chewy, the flavours were absorbed thoroughly. Would have liked a touch more acidity to balance out the heaviness better though.

Ordered: 大盘鸡拌面 & Signature Biang Biang Noodles

❣️ Springy and tangy noodles + flavorful sauces, what more can you ask for? At a pocket friendly price of $5-7 (Chinese hamburgers starts at $3.50 and noodles from $5), this unassuming Chinese noodle store offers generous servings of toppings and hand stretched noodles that truly surprises. TheIr signature Biang Biang Noodles is served warm with a special sweet sauce that is made even better with their homemade 辣椒面(please ask the staff for it😉, it’s not the same as the ones on the table!). 大盘鸡拌面 is the perfect match for Mala Fans, as the sauce vaguely resembles the typical Mala but with an extra taste of soy sauce that’s used to marinate the chicken. Sounds weird? Decide after you have tried it!

/// the staff are super friendly, so don’t be afraid to approach them if you need recommendations. Not sure if they speak English tho so do grab a Chinese speaking friend along~
