One of my favourite fish soup place at bugis now has opened an outlet at hougang.

Fish is fresh, soup is delicious.

Take note there's no more burrple deals here. Fermented pork is not even on their menu anymore.

Known for the best fish head bee hoon soup in Bugis, visit their Hougang brance for specialty charcoal fish head steamboat and asian zichar delicacies! Order up their $12.90 Set for 2 (U.P. $25), which consists of mains, which comes with a choice of sliced or fried fish with beehoon or rice, fermented pork sides and ice lemon tea per pax.

🍜Deep, savoury and milky soup with chewy noodle and add those chili padi 🌶😍 fish are tender, even the fried one doesn't give out the oil smell. Another ➕ point they open till 10.30 pm.

The first being Jin Hua Fish Head Beehoon, located at Maxwell Market and the other is Xin Yuan Ji at Bugis. Fortunately, Xin Yuan Ji has a branch located at Hougang, which makes it relatively near to office and a great lunch outing with the colleagues. My recommendation is to order the Fried Fish Meat Soup ($5.80) or go for the option with noodles if you are hungry. Also, do get the service staff to add milk into the soup for that additional thickening and creaminess. They have both sliced and fried fish but I am leaning towards the fried ones for now. Their soup stock is just amazing and I am guessing they might have used fish bones and sole fish (鳊鱼) to boil it for hours, making the stock super flavourful. Furthermore, I drank finished the entire bowl and was not feeling thirsty afterwards which is an indication that they might have used only a little or no MSG. Even though the fish was fried and soaked in the soup, it still retained its succulent texture.
