I would have missed this unassuming stall if not for the tables filled with diners waiting for their steamed fish head in hot bean sauce.

For less than $20, you get a good sized steamed Song fish head which is fresh and meat in an absolutely divine hot bean sauce which is sweet, sour, and savoury all in one. For those who love lard, this dish comes with a generous serving of lard croutons. The lard gives the sauce a near creamy richness which makes it excellent on its own and over rice.

This is without a doubt, my discovery of the year!

Parents recommended this $15 dish during our Chinatown trip and woa what a deal???? It was a large piece of fish and had the most tender and freshest meat. Albeit on the bony end, the fish was simply delightful. While many stores in my favourite kopitiam sells this, this is the store my parents recommend.

Just one bite in and you know it's GOOOD! $8 for a plate of 4wings + 2 chunks, so worth it!

I really enjoyed this seafood horfun! They were really generous with the seafood and the fish and the prawns were really fresh. I think the cherry on top is that the horfun itself had really good wok hey (smokiness), which was quite surprising since it's quite easy for it to turn out just bland, considering its drenched in all the gravy. #7UpBringOutTheFlavour

Pretty average imo. Portion is not bad and the seafood was generous

I was very surprised at how much meat you could get from from a fish head, especially when this stall cuts the head of with almost a third of its entire body left. The bean sauce with the chili padi and fried pork lard was absolutely divine, and the fish was tender and fresh. I just love how much different types of food you can get at this food center.
