Siobak sucks today. Skin still crispy but otherwise nothing good

Charsiew was still insane. Still the best I've had, for this style. In fact for any orthodox style

Their char siew is so intense we felt like 100g for 3 pax was quite sufficient, cos you are going to savour every piece. However next time I come I rlly want to just get 200g for myself and just die of diabetes+high cholesterol HAHA

The thin crisp is strong but it's abit dry. The marination isn't too strong either

Meh

Char Siew & Siu Yok Noodles (RM11.20)
Noodles go really well with the gravy at the bottom, roast duck is flavorful and has a good balance of meat and fat.
A good place to eat if you crave soup and a good bowl of noodles.

Served piping hot and crispy, tofu is soft on the inside and paired super well with the flavourful minced meat.

Probably my favouritest place to dine at in KSL, the soup here is really, really flavourful. I managed to finish the whole pot by myself! 😬 The soup is boiled in an urn under constant charcoal fire for hours on end and is fetched by staff from deep within the urn when one is ordered. It is filled with herbs and meat, definitely value for money!

I like that the noodles here goes really well with the gravy at the bottom. The siu yok is a little too fatty for my liking but decent nonetheless. The XO roast duck however, is flavourful and retains the correct balance of meat and fat. A really good place to eat at if you crave soup and a good bowl of noodles ◡̈

Consists of char siew, sio bak and roasted duck. Roasted duck was the soft skin kind and so was more forgettable but the other two are absolutely indelible.

Char siew was extremely well charred and smoky, to the point that it was slightly hard. But it's impossible not to love as the more u chew the more juices and flavours burst out, filling your mouth with a sensual smoky sweetness

Sio bak is the best I've had. Skin was consummately crispy, sort of like an airy cracker but still retaining some bite. Even though we somehow got 90% fats, it was so flavourful and didn't come across as greasy at all.

Also their homemade chili with quite a punch definitely helped us stuff piece after piece of divine bovine into our mouths

Despite it being a 4pax portion 3 of us didn't find it enough simply because it's so good it's hard to stop.
