XW Western Grill (Jem)

Went to XW Western Grill a 2 months ago and ate the Chicken Chop Baked Spaghetti ($12.80)😇 Great thing about this place is the free flow sides!! There are more than 20 sides and its unlimited bowls as long as you order a main😍 Food quality wise for the spaghetti is decent but some sides were cold (probably cuz mass produced in bulk for free flow orders)😅 Not for fussy eaters, more for people who wanna make their money's worth😆

Overall ratings 7/10😇 Worth the price but average quality!

Prawn Paste Fried Chicken with Thai Sweet Sauce ($10.50) - the prawn paste chicken is indeed very well fried; the exterior is really crispy and the chicken within is juicy 😍 the flavour of the prawn paste is well pronounced as well, making this really addictive! You can choose 2 sides to go with the chicken; the French fries and garden salad is okay, nothing special.

Tried the grilled chicken, but wasn't impressed though :( doesn't have the char taste :( however do go for the prawn paste chicken 😍

Had dinner with my friend after our presentation and recommended my friend XW Western Grill which is still relatively unknown to lots of people but I find it good.

Ordered the Crispy Chicken with mac and cheese and potato salad as the side. The Chicken was good as even though it is fried, it is still moist and the batter is not too thick. The Mac and Cheese had parmesan cheese in it compared to just diluted cheese in most mac and cheese side which is a plus point.

However, the potato salad was a disappointment. The sauce used doesn't enhance the flavour and the potato is overcooked that it destroyed the potato taste.

Overall, the food is nice but don't get their potato salad at all.
