Appreciated the hebi/sambal-like paste as a topping, but the intestines felt a little grimy and wasn’t as flavourful as I hoped 😢😢 Skip this and go for their other dishes instead 😥😥

Pork ribs were not the most tender, soup wasn’t very impressive (slightly peppery and salty but not much of the boiled-for-ten-years taste), meesua was decent. Nothing too impressive except the Lunch Set is pretty value for money, as it comes with a bowl of pork ribs (3 pretty big ones), youtiao, salted vegetables and braised taupok (which tasted real weird and herbally but not in a great way). Decent meal if you’re craving bak kut teh but definitely quite a substandard one 😶😶

Not too much meat for the price, but meat was quite tender and flavourful. Good if you like more fat/skin to lean meat! 🐽🐽

Song Fa is always crowded so this is a good alternative. And there is many other varieties such as steam fish.

The first thing in my mind when Mee Sua Soup with Minced Pork Balls 猪肉丸面线汤 (S$8.80++) was served was that it was such a small bowl (same size as the kiddy bowl 😤). Far from the version on the menu.

Ordered Tau Kee Vegetables 豆腐皮焖菜 (S$5.80++) which took forever to come. Asked a female staff about it who replied its coming and never got back to us. In the end after a long wait, asked another staff who looked like the manager, who checked out and told us that they had ran out of the dish. Ordered Kidney Soup 猪腰汤 (S$7.70++) to replace which took quite long to come. Wish that the staffs could have make an effort to inform the customers about the unavailability of dishes.
Accompanied with Pork Ribs 排骨 (S$8.50++), Steamed Fish Tofu 鱼豆腐 (S$6.50++), Braised Pig’s Trotters 卤猪脚 (S$8.50++).
The pork rib was quite porky in taste. The sauce accompanied the pig’s trotter was pretty watery.
