The kaya butter steamed bread is soft and fluffy and hot and delicious. I can’t decide which I prefer - this or the crisp kaya toast! I’ve reviewed the steamed bread at their one raffles place outlet but somehow this outlet’s rendition is more shiok. I love Yakun but they’re inconsistent across outlets. For my own reference and for anyone who’s reading:
- avoid: hillion mall, kampung admiralty
- average: one raffles place
- pretty consistent, please go: west mall, far east square, IMM

Kaya Toast with Butter Set, $4.80. Love it’s old school traditional ambience in CBD district.. so homely to be enjoying traditional breakfast here! Clean table with indoor aircon and outdoor area to choose from. Enjoying a cup of thick hot Milo ko-song with 2 huge soft boiled eggs and 2 slices of crispy roasted bread spread with fragrant kaya and a slice of butter! Traditional breakfast gives us a good start of the day ahead! .

🤪🤪 Went to Jcube for mine!

Verdict: Kopi O ☕️ is quite fragrant and tastes like kopiko candy to me! Still quite sweet but not overly so. Frankly quite liked it 🤩 Kaya was only so so. Very vague pandan-like flavour though I think this flavour got sold out islandwide first 🥳

@yakunkayatoastsg says they are restocking on their fb page so keep your eyes peeled!

It is pricey (compared to a usual pocky box) but makes for an interesting treat/ good souvenir. Would recommend the coffee one over kaya. Once opening, there is a strong fragrant coffee aroma and the #kopio bitter-sweetness is quite authentic and goes well with the biscuit. Comparatively, the kaya flavours are very mild or basically absent and it is on the sweeter side, and we wished for it to be stronger
⚠️ #kopiopocky and #kayapocky is available at all yakun outlets, with a maximum of 10 boxes per individual

My personal preference would be the Ya Kun Signature Kaya with Melon Seeds as I have always been a fan of Ya Kun’s Kaya Toast/ Steamed bread.

Thank you @yakunkayatoastsg for sharing the box of tasty mooncakes with me and my loved ones ❤️. 📍 Available at all Ya Kun outlets except Changi Airport Terminal 2, Gleneagles Hospital and Singapore Management University

Transforming the national breakfast dish into a festive celebration gives me more reason to snack on these every morning! No doubt this would be the ideal gift for your loved ones this Mid-Autumn with these captivating handcrafted snow skin mooncakes from @yakunkayatoastsg!
