Traditional coffee and toast. Basic service but does the job.

If you are in a hurry and want no drama breakfast, this is your place. Also easy to find at the tangs entrance.

Prices are just right. $6 for a set with kopi, Toast and egg.

Definitely recommend

From Ya Kun
Breakfast set of kaya butter in sliced toast, two sous vide eggs, cup of smooth hot brewed coffee.
Traditional indeed.

Just had to cut open this muffin to show you the real stuff inside .

Strangely - yakun makes the best muffins and I am not kidding .

Better than the kaya that they make are these orange chocolate muffins that are so moist with a genuine orange flavour .

Studded with dark chocolate chips which melt into the muffins.

The muffins are oh so fluffy with a gentle sweetness level .

The magic time to get the friendly ya Kun servers to warm up your muffin is 20 secs.

Pair with a cup of hot drink of your choice - this is heavenly .

So glad I finally managed to get my muffins here - there are perpetually sold out in other ya Kun outlets .

For 3.50, this muffin set is of unparalleled value - beats the 6.00 muffin set from cedele 🤣!

My new favourite . Save more to eat more .

When you have run out of ideas and when your legs are too tired to carry you anywhere after a week of work .

These days convenience and “ no queue” takes precedence .

For something not so sickeningly sweet - try the French toast which has a savoury element .

Wished the kaya was less starchy and more aromatic like the old days .

Won’t say this is cheap for just bread and coffee but just just for a fuss free way to fill your stomach - can do !

Ya Kun’s Kopi Siu Siu Dai was getting too bitter for me these days, so I decided to get Kopi C. It was really good. This cup was slightly acidic but good Kopi taste. Milky enough to offset the bitterness of the Kopi.

Breakfast the Singapore way .

I have asked for the eggs to be more cooked but 9/10 times , they are served as though the request was never made .

Found the kaya a little sickeningly sweet and lacking of the nice eggy aroma .
