Was queue for 15 mins at post lunch timing. Which typically you may expect 1 hour waiting time. The meat quality is really goooodd, given the price. And you can customise the rice serving according to your preference.

Found this place when browsing nearby eating place via Burpple. Totally worth the money and perhaps this one of very few places in Singapore which you can enjoy personal grill yakiniku table.

Unfortunately the sauces wasn’t completely served as what was shared online. I didn’t spot any dipping sauce like BBQ, Spicy Miso Sauce, Sea Salt Sauce, etc. Just small portions of sauce that comes with the set.

Overall was a good dining experience although they limit to 40 mins.

Each set comes with a bowl of seaweed soup, kimchi, and rice. The sukiyaki karubi came with a soft boil egg. Choose from 150g, 200g or 300g of rice. The karubi (100g meat) set ($9.80) and sukiyaki karubi (100g meat) ($5.90) costs a total on $15.70 😍. GST included and no service charge.

If you go at 3pm (their dinner time) you don't have to wait too long. Otherwise be prepared to wait 1 hour on weekdays!

An interesting concept, positioning as good-quality beef at small quantity therefore small price. That's only nine slices of short plate and skirt steak ($13). My problem wasn't the small meal, but the uninspiring beef. And to figure out how well to grill each cut would use up a few pieces. Onsen egg was added by me.

Karubi & Harami (200g) Set - $18.80

The long Q outside this shop everyday says a lot on the popularity of Yakiniku Like. This Japan BBQ chain offers affordable quality BBQ meat. I had the Karubi & Harami Set and separatly added Beef Tongue (50g) for $6.90. BBQ Beef Tongue is not common, so it’s a gem! Self BBQ allows full control on the meat donenes, and which sauce to dip into. Everything is so tasty, even without the dips! I have been going back for more ever since

Prime Karubi (Boneless Short Rib) & Rosu (Beef Chuck) Set (100g) [$15.80]: 😋

Half Boiled Egg [$1.30]: 😋

*The set meal comes with a bowl of rice, seaweed soup, and kimchi or salad.

Known for their snaking queues, Yakiniku Like is famous for their value for money BBQ sets and their concept of individual BBQ booths. True enough, there are small, individual BBQ grill on each table, but there are some tables which have grills that are shared between two people as well. I bought the Karubi set, which is a beef short plate set that came in thin slices of beef, rice, soup, and a choice of kimchi/salad. The beef was so well marinated and so flavourful when cooked! It was so delicious after cooking, that you really need to try it for yourself. The charred, Smokey taste of the meat really gave the meat a great finish. When grilled well, the sear on the sliced meat is heavenly, and eating it fresh from the grill allows you to savour the juiciness of the meat! I must say though, this also made the meat really oily as the oil would ooze out from the fats, and your mouth will feel weird from the aftermath of extreme oiliness. Because of the measures in place, the restaurant gave 2 choices of sauces individually - garlic soy and spicy miso. Both sauces were interestingly good, and went very very well with the meat. They gave us a restricted dining time of 40 minutes considering the crowd, but some of the Pits took a little Long to cook the meat, and if you choose to buy a larger portion of meat, you probably need more than 40 minutes to eat. Then again, you’re allowed to choose the portion of meats you’d like and I thought that was really nice. Overall, it was a really fun experience, and food was really good. I’m not a fan of BBQs, but the idea of being able to barbecue your meat to your taste, although the fire that might get quite big and scary😂 oh and their prices are nett too, making it even more affordable!
