I feel really disappointed about the restaurant. The amount of the food is too little and also very expensive. The most annoying thing is the waiter did not tell us the slides (starter) would be charged but finally they charged us! It is a kind of cheating!!!!

me and my friend ordered the kalbi, sirloin, marinated meat, pork and skirt steak to grill ourselves.

the portions given were smaller than i expected, and the meat was extremely disappointing.. all too chewy and a struggle to eat. Some are very juicy and fatty but just TOO chewy! each of these meat servings are also $12.80 and they gave about 4 pieces of meat each - might be ok for some people, but i seriously expected better quality meat at that price point.

i ordered the egg as well (the picture shown was like those korean steamed eggs) but we got some egg mayo filling thing on a plate.. it was cold, and $5? very misleading ._.

maybe i'll come back to try their mains but i'm definitely not coming back for this bbq/grill.

the total damage was $90 for all this + 2 chicken wings that we ordered (quite ok)
filling but not of good quality and standard 🤧

Ordered the light & rich ramen! Comes with marinated beef chunks that were sweet, salty and tender.

(Pictured) Light ramen broth tasted a little like chinese soup, and was a tad bland. On hindsight, this made the soup easier to drink without feeling overwhelmed.

Rich ramen broth was very sinful and hearty. The soup was decadent, creamy and velvety. But after the intial spoonfuls, you’d want to cutback and slow down due to the heavy flavor. I’m guessing they made the stock from chicken collagen.

Ordered a side of chicken and leek yakitori sticks. $2.50 per stick, and you have to order 2 sticks minimum. The teriyaki sauce was thick and sweet, and chicken was cooked well. The food got cold as we left it out, and could be why it was nothing to shout about.

Overall both bowls of ramen and yakitori sticks were pretty decent but my friend wasn’t impressed.

Closes at 2am on a Sunday!

First time trying the highball... nice quencher with my BBQ meats..

Newly opened outlet in cuppage plaza and opened til 5am, it Japanese eatery will be my favourite after 12 eating place. Using charcoal to grill, every meat ordered is perfectly marinated that, there isn’t a need for any dipping or salt&pepper. My personal favourite had to be the beef tongue (thinly sliced), and beef skirt. Oh, if you’re lazy to grill your own meat, they serve amazing yakitori, all grilled to perfection! I swear!
Please do not forgo beers, and go perfectly well with most of the dishes on the menu.
The staff are all Japanese, and the menu too is Japanese 1st, before being translated into English! Every inch reminds me of Japan, simple and understated.

For $24+, I had 180g of lean beef, rice, salad, miso soup and green tea. The cook used the back of knife to tenderize the meat then pan fried with large amount of onion. Seasoned with soy sauce. Simple and comforting flavors. .

I found their skewers average as I prefer my be salt grilled. If you have the time, do give their charcoal grill a try. .
