Buta (Pork) Don + Miso Soup ($10 - using reward coupon from JPassport App) Buta (Pork) Don was quite hard to chew, the sauce for Buta is not enough to sustain the taste and feel like that sauce for Buta Don was extreme salty when the sauce slipped through rice bowl.

The buta gods have blessed this bowl with heavenly slices of torched, succulent pork coated in a most umami soy glaze. Sitting below was quality short grain rice eagerly awaiting to soak up the sauce and the eventual overflow of onsen egg yolk dribble from above. Very satisfying.

The name of this dish might have sounded quite cheesy, but Legend of Chicken Skin was likely to be the first fried chicken skin that I had encountered with that unrivalled crispiness and little taste of chicken fat. Lightly seasoned with salt, it was made to be the perfect snack to go with beer.

The biggest surprise of getting this box, with reference of the length of the spoon, was that it was a medium size that costed only S$4.00! Seriously, if this was a medium size, I would really be interested to find out the serving portion of the large size which is merely a dollar more.

While most of the items in Yakitori Tsuyoshi involved chicken or pork, the Una-Don (S$16.50) stood out to be the only seafood-based Donburi. Interestingly, the eel had a caramelised coating of sauce with that slight hint of gingerly taste for me. My meal did not look too plain, thanks to the slice of Tamagoyaki and the Japanese pickles alongside.

The only factor that would stand between me visiting Hokkaido Marche was actually the crowd. With limited seating capacity, dining here during weekends or the standard meal hours might be a bit challenging, especially if you would come in a bigger group. Thankfully, takeaway options were always available to buy here and eat elsewhere.
