Nothing goes wrong with such ingredients in a soup - prawn and crayfish added the seafood sweetness. Love the huge chunks of minced pork inside.

I first had a taste of Yan Ji at Woodlands Centre Road Food Centre and it has been my to-go seafood soup since! I’ve got to admit that their cloudy brownish broth may not be the most physically appetising, but that rich umaminess wins it for me. The broth differs a bit from when you order crayfish or just pure prawns, etc. so we were happy to spot this buddy meal option here in the Alexandra outlet, to get a variation! Seafood were generally fresh, but our only gripe is always the amount of soup that’s just barely enough to cover the ingredients. More pretty please!

The beehoon soaks up the tasty broth super well! Even better than the rice. Prawns are big &fresh, living up to expectations. What makes this stall different is the minced pork which has slices of mushrooms in them. The balls of minced pork are gratifying, especially so after taking a dip into the chilli sauce!
Even without adding the clams/crayfish/fish maw, the soup already tastes divine.
Hot piping soup and I can’t think of a better choice that this.
Thick, rich broth sweetened from the seafood and pork, slurp-worthy till the last drop. The star of the show for me was the pork meatballs! So good, that I added extra portion. Best part of this outlet in Alexandra Village is that they are on ubereats which means I can order in for dinner which I did today. Yes that’s how good this soup is that I had it back to back for two days. Veronica, thanks for this superb recommendation. I can see why you love it so much
