This was absolutely divine. Soft cubes of beancurd in a thick sauce of hairy crab, so creamy, sweet and savory. Something as luxurious a this didn't cost a bomb, yet it was also a very comforting dish.
🔸
Hairy Crabs and Alsakan King Crabs have made an elaborate return to Yan Ting at The St. Regis Singapore from now until 15 December 2019. Expect premium crustacean dishes, meticulously prepared by Yan Ting’s master chefs, in both classic and modern interpretations. I haven't tried their Alaskan crab dishes, but their hairy crab dishes were fascinating.

Yan Ting from St Regis Singapore uses the most premium hairy crab from Yangcheng Lake, and this is the best hairy crab I've had in the past few years.
🔸
For a crab this good, opt for the Steamed Hairy Crab which is presented in its entire splendor to preserve the freshness and original flavours of the divine delicacy. It's creamy was indeed very flavourful, and very creamy, and felt denser than other hairy crab roe I've tried. The flesh is also sweet and luscious, meaty enough to feel that it's worth the effort to remove the shells.
🔸
Besides Hairy Crabs, Yan Ting is also serving the Alsakan King Crabs from now until 15 December 2019.

This xo carrot cake used to be alot better. Do ask them to fry it a little more crispy.

The scallop top siumai add a nice flavour compared to the usual version. Worth a try.

What we had: a) The ever delicious warm Roast Pork. b) The Veg Dish that is soup-liked that the grandkid like, we ordered by showing a photo of it from our phone coz we randomly ordered it last time and kid can remember and wanted it. If a kid wants veg, you order. Lol. c) Asparagus, Scallops and Morels stirfry that’s really good. Who doesn’t love morels. 😍 d) FIL loves his fish, so the wife picked a Soon Hock and had it steamed HK Style. Yummy yummy. e) Wife also ordered pork ribs that’s called Pik Fong Tong Ribs. It’s so tender inside, but has a crispy outer layer. We wondered if it’s slow braised, pressure cooked or sous vide, then deep fried. We are not on first name basis so don’t kepo and ask too much. f) Of course what’s a Chinese Birthday without Birthday Mee Suah! g) We also bought a cake from @hilton.singapore’s D9 Cakery because it was convenient option as we were staying over. We found coincidently that by charging to the room, we get 20% of the cake. Happy Birthday!
