This post begins with a caveat that I ate this at 8pm, so the quality of the meats is expected to drop. With that being said, the danggui duck was really a steal at its price point. Superbly juicy and flavourful, it's a pity some pieces were a little dry. However, I wouldn't doubt that a few hours ago, the skin could very well been crispy. The char siew was also glistening with soft fat, though it wasn't greasy. It has a distinct flavour that I could get used to and I imagine some people would really dig it. The sauce on the rice has a strong fermented soybean sauce presence, making it very savoury to balance out the sweet notes of the char siew and duck. Finally, it's a miracle that the roast pork still maintained that biscuit skin even at this hour. Even though the muscle is slightly dry, the great marbling more than made up for it.

If you like Hong Kong-style roasted meats, give this newish stall at Jin Biao Coffeeshop (Tampines Street 22) a go. Our Tastemakers ordered the Roast Pork, Char Siew and Roast Duck Noodles ($6.80), and were surprised by the quality of the meats, especially the duck! "The roast duck is succulent, smooth and tender; none of that grainy texture that you are going to get here," says Tastemaker Xing Wei Chua. The skin also boasts a lovely crackle. Apart from the duck, both the roast meat and char siew are tasty. The roast pork nails it with crackling crisp skin, while the char siew offers a good mix of fat and char, and a deliciously smoky flavour. The bed of noodles are springy and tossed in a savoury sauce — the perfect canvas for the tasty meats!
Pro tip: If you're simply here for the duck, get the Roasted Duck Noodles for just $3.80.
Avg Price: $5 per person

This Hong Kong style roasted meat stall in Tampines really caught us by surprise! We tried three of their meats and the choice is easy; come here for the shiok roast duck! 😝

The duck is tender and slightly sweet but man, is that skin on that bird just so good! Theirs retained a slight crackle that's so hard to find at roasted meat stalls. The char siew here is good too, with a good amount of fat and char on it. Definitely a plate of goodness I wouldn't mind returning to. 😋

If you're just looking for a simple plate of roasted duck noodles, it'll just set you back a nifty $3.80.

Checked out this coffeeshop for their roasted meat noodles and rather surprised by their roast duck here. Coming with springy noodles that is tossed in a suitable amount of savoury sauce, the roast duck is succulent, smooth and tender; none of that grainy texture that you are going to get here. Char Siew and Roast Pork is also pretty decent here; the char siew comes in suitably fatty pieces with quite a bit of char that provided a smoky flavour while the roast pork comes with a crackling skin.

Stall newly open at Tampines St. 22. . What caught my eyes was the Roasted Duck. To give it a try, I decide to ordered a plate of duck noodle which has just came out from the rocket looking machine. I must say the tenderness of the the duck is unbelieveable. Not only is it juicy, the honey glazed duck is perfectly seasoned. I'm impressed by this Malaysian cook. While eating the succulent roasted duck, my eyes was focusing on the roasted pork . Though I'm not a Char Siew lover, I believe it's gonna be the kind of taste that many Char Siew lovers are looking for. But as for the Duck Lover, do give it a try if you are somewhere there.

Was hoping that the yat Lok here would bring me back to the happy memories of the succulent roast goose in Hk’s Yat Lok. In my opinion, the exported version is not bad - but still not as good as the original. It’s still a pretty decent place to come for your regular roast duck, char siew and roast pork tho and a cut above other regular roast meat stalls in sg!
