This is quite simply the best cheng tng i’ve tried so far in Singapore and possibly the most expensive at $3. No complaints about the price for me though; as each bowl of delicious cheng tng is so refreshing and filled with generous amount of ingredients.

It is pretty uncommon to find this dish in hawker centres these days and this is one of the stalls still serving it. Located alongside the famous 倜ζ₯香 cheng tng (both are under the same family business), this is basically like another style of 'rojak' but with cuttlefish mixed with kang kong (water spinach), cucumber, tau pok, lettuce & pineapple doused with sweet sauce & chili sauce.

Cheng Tng is one dessert that can be enjoyed no matter when as the weather swings from warm to cold to six inches from the sun. Hot or cold, this bowl here is delish either way ; and look at how cheng it is! It tastes as good as it looks with good fragrance and sweetness from the pandan leaves and dried longan. Plus, they are very generous with quality ingredients like sweet potato, ginko nuts, white fungus, barley, dried persimmon, candied winter melon etc. It's $3/bowl but I wouldn't mind paying for this refreshing treat!

Thanks to dad's recommendation.
My dad's fond memories of serving national service at the nearby camp & settling for a bowl of icy cold Cheng tng that is perfect for hot weather after his duty β˜€οΈ Ever since, he has been bringing the family to Bedok Food centre for Ye Lai Xiang's Cheng tng & Cuttlefish Kang Kong πŸ˜‹

Tried this highly raved cheng tng which comes at a price of $3, not a cheap bowl of cheng tng but guess the huge variety of ingredients rxplains the cause. There are sweet potato strips, winter melon strips, ginko, logans in it. Overall a pleasant dessert to help cool fown in this warm weatherβ˜€οΈβ˜€οΈβ˜€οΈπŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

Used to wait in line for the long queue at Ye Lai Xiang for the Cheng Tng and ordered special at $3. Ever since the owner passed away, the quality has dropped significantly. Ingredients have been reduced and this once-great dessert stall shall go down the drain with this younger generation.
