Sizzling hot claypot rice drizzled with dark soy sauce and comes with deboned chicken pieces, lup cheong, salted fish and vegetables. The claypot rice was cooked to a fragrant and smoky aroma with burnt bits of rice at the sides that added a good char and burnt and crispy texture to every bite. The chunks of chicken were very soft and tender. Dip it with their chilli sauce for the extra spicy kick 》$12/2pax
Find a table and make payment upon ordering. Be prepared to wait as each portion of claypot rice is cooked upon order. We waited for 45mins on a weekday dinner.
A very generous portion of claypot rice! Lots of crispy rice bits for you to munch on!
Be prepared to wait between 20-40 minutes at Yew Chuan Claypot Rice in Golden Mile Food Centre. Nice crispy char at the edges of the rice, along with tender chicken meat and it is not overly salty with the salted fish.
Claypot Rice ($12 for 2pax)

Yew Chuan Claypot Rice needs no introduction. Been a icon at Goldenmile Food Centre for ages. I’m a recent fan by accident as i much on the tender BONELESS [email protected] chunks and generous slices of chinese sausage. Pairing the rice with their chilli sauce is like a match made in heaven. The crave is real.
This was the smallest portion at $12. Just right for two. Waited about 45 minutes, the rice was nicely charred, although a little too burnt for my liking as the end result was more dry than i would have preferred. The chicken was nicely flavoured and went very well with the chilli sauce. Vegetables were juicy and fresh. The best part imo was the chunks of salted fish that added subtle flavour without being overly dried. Lup cheong was a bonus.
Available in different prices, from $12 onwards.
Shared my $18 claypot chicken rice with da wife.
The salted fish taste was so good.
The chicken so fresh. And cooked just right. Not overcooked at all.
Will always eat this when I am passing through.
Really one of the best claypot rice I ever had.
