I considered myself a skeptic towards new milk tea establishments because there was a sudden spike in numbers lately, but Taro Green Tea Latte (S$5.80), I like!

It would be one of the few places that used mashed taro as the base, as seen with the “orh nee” at the bottom. Taking it down with green tea and milk balanced the sweetness really well, though it might be a bit difficult to see the greenish side of green tea in the drink.

However, I later realised that the best way to enjoy the drink was to shake thoroughly before poking in the straw. This was because I spent a long time trying to scoop the remaining yam paste from the cup after the liquids were gone, and much of them had to be wasted because there was no provision of a spoon to scrape the last bits of the ingredients.

They used the taro imported from Taiwan, freshly mashed and adding on with fresh milk and green tea. Stir it well so you can slurp most of the taro bites.

🥤🥤🥤 Introducing Taro Latte and Taro Green Tea Latte. Fans of Taro should give this a try. The sweetness level is mild and would recommend trying the Green Tea version 😍

1️⃣ Taro Green Tea Latte - SGD 5.70 💜💚
Absolutely loving these Taro drinks from As soon as I took my first sip, I instantly fell in love. The base drink was interesting because it had a green tea flavour but although the green tea was more subtle, I could still taste it. Overall, as the two mixed together, it made quite an impression 💜💚🍃

With a full base of pure taro mash, chunky and unsweetened, is a real deal! Super love this rendition - every sip was a delight! 💜🍠

Insider tips: Blend the taro down into a slightly clumpy mix, which allow you to sip up the granules of REAL taro bits! YAMMY! 🍠

At a promotional price of $5 till tomorrow, Yifang’s newly launched Taro Latte and Taro Green Tea Latte ($5.70) comes with no added flavourings - no eye-catching purple hues here. Loaded with chunky mashed taro and fresh milk, both are available in medium size only as a large would be really heavy and filling. Fragrant and mildly sweet, every sip was a delight as you get bits of taro and smooth milk. Best of all, their rendition is a little frothy with their added cream which really enhanced the texture. And between the two, the Taro Green Tea Latte has that extra oomph from the aromatic tea flavour. Though, the refreshing touch does overpower the light earthiness of the taro towards the end. Recommended with no pearls or topping, the cups were essentially well-balanced, not too starchy and something I would go back for.

Thank you for the warm hospitality!
