No need to travel to yishun for this popular chicken rice.

The breast meat is soft and moist.

The sauce is sweet, taste almost similar to Tong fong fatt.

The chilli is nothing fantastic.

But the chicken is so good.

The price is that of your usual single portion, half ckn, full ckn. Unfortunately the portion isn't anywhere as close. Take heed

The prices are very reasonable and this was half ckn(very big ckn it was)

Glad to report this branch is just as good as the original. Every aspect from the ckn, to the sauce, rice, and chili were up to par. Maybe except the achar which wasn't sweet enough

I never tried the ckn feet at the original outlet but this one, served w their soy based sauce was quite bland. Add the chili to make it more palatable. I guess Thai style w the strong sweet chili sauce is the way to go for ckn feet which is always bland

Hainanese Chicken ($12/half)

Had the chicken rice @yishun925 (potong pasir branch) before but never really took the time to savour it till I ordered half a chicken recently. Learnt from a friend that this nondescript looking chicken rice stall which appeared some time ago around my area was actually famous in Yishun (hence the name!) for their white chicken! True enough, the chicken meat was tender (even for the breast meat) and I "accidentally" ate some of the chicken skin which was so tasty and smooth!

I also loved the rice which was not overly oily, the achar (I rarely see them these days) and the accompanying chicken soup had enough chicken essence to prevent the soup from tasting simply like brine!

You find some of the best foods tucked away in little coffee shops around our tiny island and man, did I love this chicken rice I had for lunch yesterday! ❤️

Contrary to their name, they're at Potong Pasir and their chicken was amazingly tender, even the breast meat was soft and moist to each bite. 😋Easily one of the best chicken rice I've had (though I still rather Tong Fong Fatt), the sauce here has a nice hit of sesame oil and begs to be drenched all over your rice! 🍚 Plus points too for the achar on the side. 😉
