Found this gem of a place at paya lebar, selling tarts at $3/3.50, these rivaled or were better than tarts at cafes

Here's the pecan pie. It's so delicious. Didn't disappoin and so value for money. The other pie is an almond raspberry. Its like a cookie and sweet raspberry.

The lemon meringue pie is actually quite good and the lemon is tart enough. They are not fooling around, no wonder why its one of their top sellers.

Back to YM bakery for my afternoon treat of quiches and tarts .

Everything here is homemade and I particularly love their quiches because they are fully packed with wholesome ingredients .

You get a good array of variety fruit tarts , lemon meringue tart and even a rustic carrot cake .

YM bakery is a quaint little bakery that does homemade pies and quiches at the basement of PLQ mall. You won’t miss the stall - it’s just situated outside ntuc finest.

My favourite has got to be their quiches - especially the salmon and spinach quiche - it is moist , flavourful and filled generously with ingredients . The quiche pastry is crusty and buttery but not greasy .

The blueberry part is nice - wished it was a little less sweeter but more generous blueberry fillings but at at 2.60 - no complaints πŸ˜€

Quite a rare find these days for homemade bakes made on site and with lots of love .

This quiche is done so well - it deserves a solo write up ( despite my earlier posting ).

The quiche was so jam packed with ingredients a topped a crisp and buttery base which was fragrant and surprisingly light and not greasy ( unlike some soggy quiche bases which I have had in many cafes ) .

The ratio of tart pastry to filling is also perfect . The highlight actually goes to the texture of the tart - it was almost like a cross between a shortcrust pastry with a puff pastry - one of the best quiches I have eaten in a Long while .

For 3 dollars - this was such an affordable tea time treat . So Glad that the quiche was kept in a warmer and unlike Hans or coffee bean which warm their quiches up in a microwave - you don’t get a soggy tart base at M bakery .

Every cake , tart and quiche is made with so much love πŸ’– and attention .

A nice change from the usual Brand names that we are so accustomed to seeing.
