Decided to try after reading Lots of great reviews.

Apparently one of the better fish soup in Singapore. Some even say this is on par with Amoy Street.

No regrets eating here. The fish was bouncy and fresh. The soup was just as shiok.

The auntie was very friendly. Contrary to what was commented by others.

Only $5 for salt base soup, 3 thick fried fish, 3 sliced fish, a hidden egg sitting at bottom, handful of skinny yee mee and seaweed & fresh lettuce.
Brisk queue, stall owner really cater for different combination of cooking from each individual order.

Tea with milk $1 nearby.

A stall that my colleague strongly recommended when we were in the area, Yong Lai Fa Ji Shu Shi at 79A Circuit Road Market though known for their Fish Head Soup, also offers a mean bowl of Seafood Soup with Yi Mee ($4/$5). Loaded with ingredients, the soup was light but real tasty as the flavours in the bowl worked harmoniously. The comforting broth doesn’t leave you thirsty either so be sure to finish every single drop. Love the plump prawns and firm fish slices - fresh and sweet. Springy and totally slurp-worthy, the Yi noodles is worth a mention too! As it was of a thinner variety, the strands provided a unique bite and didn’t really turn soggy like the usual yi mee. What’s more, you should add in fish eggs ($2) for that extra oomph in taste and texture.

The MSG-free soup is made from boiling fish bones and chicken for at least 8 hours. Here's a photo of fish soup. Read more: http://www.misstamchiak.com/yong-lai-fa-ji-shu-shi-circuit-road/
