You'll have to look hard to find this small Golden Mile haunt, but the effort pays off in amazing nosh. Expect an old-school Jap setting, which will do well for dialled-back dates. Must-orders include the incredibly juicy, tobiko-topped Grilled Scallop with Cheese ($6.80) and the staff-recommended Ankimo (Monkfish Liver, $7) that surprises with its rich, creamy texture.

A birthday treat from friend. My first time visiting. I didn't even know or heard about this restaurant before 😅 ordered 2 peach sake, sashimi mixed (small), foie gras, scallop and 2 torimomo. Their food got good standard. Ambience is good. Traditional Japan style. Venue wise isn't good though. But definitely good to visit for their food. 👍

Golden Mile had be overshadowed many other type of cuisine in its area. However this hidden Izakaya Bar which I had walked past dozen of times, offered something different. .

During our visit, their daily special is this sliced fish liver. Light creamy fish liver without any fishy taste topped with Tobiko.

100% prawn crackles. Best with either beer or sake. Be careful of the pointy ends while chewing. Dipped into the mayo to change up the flavors.

Fresh octopus chopped up and mixed with wasabi. The more I chewed the more spiciness and sweetness released.

I must said that this was pretty good. The blazing flame gun seared the soft sweet scallop and covered with Tobiko mayo.
