2 skewers 5.8++, but must be same kind.

Ckn heart was decent, abit too mild. Got the slightly crunchy texture

Shiitake had mentaiko, v juicy but damn strong

Buta miso isn't good at all, can barely taste the miso and pork was tough

Ckn wing only had a bit of crisp, but the sauce is pretty good, so worth getting

Bacon asparagus was okay

NO MORE ANKIMO
came here for the ankimo but this was pretty decent. The century sauce is absolutely intense, quite sweet as well. Unique version and not bad, just get it to share between at least 2 else abit too much

Other than their Agedashi Goma Tofu ($7.80), this was our other favourite dish of the meal there. So glad their century egg tofu came generously covered in century egg sauce. The sauce was flavourful and had good bits of century egg, crab stick and roe for added texture. A tad bit pricey though.

Izakaya dinner at Yorimichi Yakitori, tucked in a quieter corner of Golden Mile Tower. Menu and drinks were quite limited and prices are more on the steep end, but those we had were pretty good (skip the garlic rice) - favourites of our meal were the Century Egg Tofu ($7.80) and this crunchy agedashi goma tofu dressed in sesame sauce with a soft mochi-like texture inside.

You'll have to look hard to find this small Golden Mile haunt, but the effort pays off in amazing nosh. Expect an old-school Jap setting, which will do well for dialled-back dates. Must-orders include the incredibly juicy, tobiko-topped Grilled Scallop with Cheese ($6.80) and the staff-recommended Ankimo (Monkfish Liver, $7) that surprises with its rich, creamy texture.

A birthday treat from friend. My first time visiting. I didn't even know or heard about this restaurant before 😅 ordered 2 peach sake, sashimi mixed (small), foie gras, scallop and 2 torimomo. Their food got good standard. Ambience is good. Traditional Japan style. Venue wise isn't good though. But definitely good to visit for their food. 👍
