We also ordered a teriyaki chicken, which turned out to be a deep fried, moist and juicy chicken chop coated with a sweet teriyaki sauce. It came crispy and hot, and was the ultimate comfort food. It’s so simple, but executed really well.

Normally comes with aburi salmon but we requested it to be switched out for tuna instead for a $2 top up. It was a good choice!! Except they could really do without all the extra mayo haha especially since the veggies alr had a nice tangy dressing. The tuna tasted fresh and sweet, and I loved the salty pop of the ikura and the crunch of the tobiko.

Decided to pop by here when my usual Sushi Tei had a really long queue. I was pleasantly surprised because this particular set was super value for money!! For $17 I got 3 thick (I mean at least 2-3 big bites kind of thick) glistening slices of salmon sashimi, 3 slices of well-marbled salmon belly, 2 aburi teriyaki and 2 aburi mentai mayo salmon nigiri. The fish tasted fresh and delicious too!!

For those who don’t fancy sashimi, their unagi don was pretty good too! The unagi was really soft, fluffy and warm.

They definitely don’t skimp on the truffle oil as the truffle smell and flavor was really strong! I like how the rice was nicely infused with a good amount of truffle oil and the sashimi cubes were fresh and delicious! Their chirashi don portion was huge, with a good ratio of sashimi to rice.

Hitoyoshi Yoshi Sushi is located just outside of Ramen Hitoyoshi. This is definitely a good find! It wasn’t crowded despite going there for a weekend lunch.

• generous portion
• fresh sashimi
• light and easy to eat

there are many japanese eateries at vivo and harbourfront but this unassuming “pop up” restaurant serves fresh sashimi. look at the glistening ikura 🤩
