Yut Kee sells two kinds of pork chops, and this is one of the most popular orders. To be honest, it was alright in taste and definitely was not worth the queue. I think their Roast Pork Chop would be much more worthwhile. Give it a try and decide for yourself. 😉

For decades, families have been frequenting this kopitiam in KL for Hainanese grub that grandma would approve of. There's almost always a queue, so come early to grab a seat. Put your orders in right away – Signature Hainanese Chicken Chop (RM10.50), Belacan Fried Rice (RM7.50), Hailam Mee (RM8) and Kaya Butter Toast and Half Boiled Egg (from RM3). Wash that down with a strong cup of Kopi (RM2). Ps. You can also take home a jar of Kaya (RM4.80) or a whole box of Kaya Swiss Rolls (RM12).

Yut Kee has been around for almost 90 years (it is one of the oldest coffee shops in KL city) and you will still find them doling out consistently good Hainanese grub and local coffee. Crowds swarm in at 7.30am, so be sure to come early, give them your name and wait your turn. Once seated, order the signature Hainanese Chicken Chop (RM10.50) that sees a piece of breaded chicken drenched in a savoury-sweet brown sauce, served alongside potatoes, peas and carrots. Another must-try is the Kaya Butter Toast and Half Boiled Egg (from RM3), fluffy bread toasted and slathered with housemade kaya. Seal the hearty meal with a cup of local Kopi (RM2). Pro tip: Take away slices of the housemade Marble Cake (RM1.30) or Kaya Swiss Rolls (RM1.10) to munch on!

Look at the fluffy toast, and the curded kaya

They still have it here, Yut Kee!!!!!!

One of the best Hainanese chicken chop in town, egg battered chop with tasty brown sauce. Perfect with simple plain toast to soak up the tasty sauce 😋. Consistent portion & taste over the years.

Hainanese Pork Chop.
