For £8.45 (their lunchtime menu), I got for myself a Ten Don meal which comes with Japanese rice and a bowl of miso soup. Fresh king prawns and seasonal vegetables are coated in a light tempura batter, and deep fried upon order. Definitely worth all the hype.

A classic example is the Chicken Katsu meal (£7.95) from Yuzu Manchester. Served with Japanese rice and miso soup, the fresh chicken breast is coated with breadcrumbs before it goes into the deep fryer. Light and crispy batter with the tender chicken breast is so comforting especially in the chilly weathers of Manchester.
