Lucky to have had my cravings satisfied last week before the changes in regulations.

Not a comfortable place to dine in as before since it gets crowded after they have been populated all over social media .

The white bee Hoon is tasty and not greasy and the egg is well made - gooey yolk :)

The homemade bread and hainan kaya is good as always :)

a perfect afternoon is - soft traditional toast topped with butter kaya and two cups of teh.

Haven’t been back to this place ever since the queues got so mad .

It used to be really quite nice and quiet 🤫 with manageable queues.

Like their white bee Hoon which is tasty and not greasy and you get to choose the type of egg that you like ( whether more cooked or more runny ) and the auntie at the service counter is always very accommodating.

The fluffy buns with kaya are faultless and needless to comment more .

What I found intriguing was the queue system .

After queuing for your bread and coffee - then you gotta queue at the bee Hoon / noodles counter for Your bee Hoon .

Isn’t that double queuing ? 🤣 not so time effective for a solo diner like me - no one to spilt the “ queuing work “ with .

💬: My brother said the chicken was 'too soft'???? How is that a valid complain lol next-

Nothing THAT special, but we love it because of how comforting and satisfied it leaves us

💬: Big fucking addiction to this and I've been yapping about this every weekend to my boyfriend, wanting him to bring me but it never worked...... until my mum requested this for Mother's Day dinz looool biased dog dia

I have been there countless times over the years, and each time my order will usually be the same few, as with the others in the long snacking queue. Besides the claypot ee-mian and sugar doughnuts, the latter with a fluffy texture and lightly coated with sugar, the one thing that you cannot miss out on ordering are their in-house baked buns that have been slathered with a layer of Hainanese kaya and a slab of butter added during the bread toasting for good measure. You can hardly find such classic coffeeshops these days, so head on down and get a slice of tradition.
