Came back to Camden Locks on a separate occasion and I couldn’t forgo trying the Levantine pizza from Zala. For £8 the freshly baked thin crust pizza was outstanding- our ravenous tummies finished each slices within minutes leaving no trace of leftover crust. The latter is testament to the great pizza crust; Beyond that the tried and tested combinations of herbs X yoghurt X lamb & beef works wonders.
These leaves one/(me in particular)with an almost indelible memory of good Levantine food.
The kind of sandwich you'd gladly sink your teeth in even though it gets a little mess with the overflowing sauce. Here my chunks of chicken breast are tender and coated with a delicious complementing sauce that leaves you only wanting... more. A light hued bunch of greens surround the deceptively pale meat for they are far from mild tasting. To end off- encapsulating a robust filling, Levantine flat bread is baked upon order and freshly used; it left a self proclaimed bread lover aka me nodding to signify nothing but approval.
