Walked past many times and this is the first time trying @zoeysdiner

They serve hearty burgers, pasta and bubble tea ranging from $7.90 and up! 😋 For comparison, @mcdsg
Buttermilk burger ala carte is around $6 - $7.

We had the 𝗭𝗼𝗲𝘆'𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻, 𝗕𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗸 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻, 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐟𝐟𝐥𝐞 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 and 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗲𝘀𝘆 𝗧𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗼𝘁𝘀.

While the normal burger was good, I personally really like the bao bread. Its so fluffy and nice. Both burgers were tender and very hearty.

Special shutout for the 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗲𝘀𝘆 𝗧𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗼𝘁𝘀 which is amazingly crispy, starchy and covered is slightly sweet /salty cheese. So good

Can skip the truffle fries though. It is more of truffle mayo.

Drinks we had were Oolong and Green Tea (quite bitter for me as I usually take 50% sugar level)

Love the food and service. Will definitely be back!

Nestled within @compassonesg in the heart of Sengkang, @zoeysdiner is a casual eatery that offers yummy, fuss-free meals crafted with quality fresh ingredients. You probably guessed it right, their signature BAOBAE is a fusion of the Chinese bao and a western burger🍔.

Their Buttermilk Fried Chicken BaoBae stood out the most for me👍. Handcrafted using steamed bao and stuffed with a battered fried chicken thigh, cabbage slaw & spicy chipotle mayo, each fluffy bite was bursting with flavours😋! Special mention goes out to their Pesto Vongole, which was really tasty, albeit a little oily.

Now don’t start yelling at me, purists. Adorably named Baobaes (sekewt I love it), their burgers are a sorta fusion, modern interpretation of Chinese bao creations and the usual Western counterparts. Yeah they aren’t using crazy fancy buns, no premium cuts in their patties and whatnot; what you’re looking at is a value-for-money, hearty, and fuss-free meal. We tried their Buttermilk Fried Chicken ($8.90), Pepper Braised Beef ($10.90), and Beef and Cheese ($9.90) baobaes, and I gotta say I was pleeeenty impressed — especially with the steamed bun burgers. The flavours were robust, and every element was very well-executed. The fried chicken was crisp and juicy, braised beef was really tender and peppery (in a pleasant way), and the Australian beef patty was perfectly seasoned. Nothing revolutionary here, but for their price tags these burgers were tasty and very satisfactory. If anything I wished their steamed buns were a wee less hefty and fluffier, but that’s just me nitpicking really.

Beverages here are supplied by Winnie's. This is one of the signatures and it's amazing. I could taste peach, rose and nectar distinctly, yet their combination was like Olympic-level synchronised swimming. The only dull element was the aloe vera, but I can't really complain.

Not bad. The cauliflower carried the unlikeable elements of cauliflower, but the cheese and curry powder did their part in neutralising them.
