This Korean restaurant has been in Chinatown along Temple Street for many years and this is actually my first time coming in here, after finding out that they offered valuable lunch set during weekdays.

For now, it is only $9.90+ and there’s many choices to choose from.

I went for the Jja Jang Myeon, where you find generous portion of the thick sauce made of chunjang and diced pork on the top of the noodles.

You will need to mix everything together with the vegetables also. The taste wasn’t too overwhelmed and I pretty much enjoy the taste.

Ordered the Beef Omma Set which came with 180g each of Ribs, Brisket, and Striploin. For the set we chose the Kimchi Pork Soup, and also came with steamed egg and free flow of side dishes including fresh lettuce. Overall, sufficient to share between three of us but I thought the meal as a whole was pretty meh. I liked the selection of salt at the table though. They also gave a complimentary coconut jelly complete with the coconut flesh which was very much appreciated!

Wide variety of side dishes such as: Tuna + corn + leek, lightly seasoned shredded potatoes, crunchy cucumbers + chives, dried cuttlefish with konjac in kimchi mayo, japchae, quail egg; the dishes are quite unique compared to most Korean eatery & taste are quite on point; definitely paired well with the dishes without overpowering the taste..

Seaweed pork soup is gooey in texture akin to black sesame paste but surprisingly light tasting; came with pieces of lean & tender steamed pork belly slices; topped with leeks & chilli powder; served with rice at the side..

Milky color pork soup is flavorful yet light on tastebud, with distinct fried shallot aroma; taste good on its own without need to add any additional seasoning (salt& pepper) at the side; came with steamed pork belly slices which are lean & tender, good to pair with the fermented chilli paste at the side; noodles are firm with soft bite; love this comforting & clean-tasting soup..

Stew pork belly slices with housemade kimchi; meat is tender & infused with the kimchi taste; broth is savory with different dimensions of taste (sweet, sour, mild spicy); surprisingly addictive, appetizing & helps to balance out the meatiness feel; best for sharing..

Hearty & rich beef bone broth, which tastes similar to the ones in Korea; with moderately strong beef taste which one may need time to accustom to their tastebud; with slices of thick & tender beef shank in the soup; came with similar sides..

Comforting bowl of pork bone broth tastes surprisingly light on tastebud yet robust with flavors & no gamey taste; came with generous portion of pork belly slices which are tad fat but tender; love the housemade radish kimchi which are crunchy, infused with chilli & garlic flavors; came with a small portion of soft rice noodles & a bowl of fluffy rice; with onion soy sauce & fermented chill sauce at the side which complement well with the meat..

Seaweed soup with clam, tofu & leek; flavorful yet light on tastebud..

Each set came with 4 side dishes that is refillable; all the tastes are light which whets appetite yet not overpowering the tastes of dish; especially love the crunchy & refreshing cucumbers..

Opted for 5-grain rice; kurobuta pork collar & pork ribs are well-grilled to tender with no gamey taste, came with Korean bracken, roasted sesame, chopped spring onions & seafood sauce; flavorful with light smoky taste; came with similar sauce at the side..

Opted for 5-grain rice which came soft & fluffy; with 5 webfoot octopus stir-fried with pepper, they are tender & springy; came with aster leaf, roasted sesame, chopped spring onions & seafood sauce; give it a good toss & every mouth is bursting with flavors, with slightly charred base & light floral aroma of the aster leaf lingering on the tastebud; soy sauce at the side is quite salty, so can adjust the amount according to own preference, but the rice tastes good on its own without the addition of it..
