Finally tried Aburi Kaisen Don Keisuke, and I must say that the sauce for their don and mazesoba was fantastic, but their aburi sashimi were at most decent.

The Warayaki Aburi Kaisen Mazesoba ($16.90) was probably the dream of most dry noodle lovers. At a sizeable portion, the noodles were really al dente and the beautiful sweet savoury sauce had so much umami. Each strand of noodle was really coated well with the sauce. Honestly, just give me a bowl of their noodles and sauce and I will be a happy man. The Aburi sashimi pieces were actually quite forgettable unfortunately.

The premium don version ($22.90) was also well flavoured by the sauce, but perhaps it was slightly too salty. Once again the Aburi pieces were just decent, so I wouldn't think it was worth the premium upgrade. If you love your seafood soup, the lobster broth of the ochazuke set ($4) is well worth the top up as the soup was simply fantastic with the seafood flavours. Very rich, they go very well with the rice and sauce.

I would think this is a decent place to come if you're around the area!

Refreshingly citrusy with a cheeky bit of heat that simmers at the back of the throat in contrast to the chilled cocktail. This makes for a pleasant lazy Sunday sundowner on the patio at @jypsysg 's Fullerton Waterfront outlet.

Aka alphonsino. Also you can't order half portion for this. And today half of the grilled fish options aren't available

Crispy skin, however while it is a pretty decent grilled fish it's nowhere near as good as you would expect from kinmedai

Stick to their hokke, it's of a similar standard for cheaper

Honestly it's not that good.

A little sour inside, not enough umami or saltiness at all for bacon, texture wasn't ideal either

Delicious. Cabbage was very crunchy, very high quality. Served on ice

Miso mayo was absolutely intense. I normally avoid mayo but I did eat this one

Ordered the chicken but got the prawn instead. 'Twas a happy accident because this was succulent and immensely tasty, especially with the accompanying zesty green ponzu sauce.

There's only 1 problem with their perfect kanimiso, idk what to slather it on

For the same price(and obviously less kanimiso), you can solve this problem by ordering the potato salad instead. If anything it's more like mashed potatoes, and an average one at that, but paired w their perfect kanimiso it's still incredibly delicious.

The potato portion is a little bit generous, ratio wise

Must try

My partner and I ordered the claypot hokkien mee, supreme prawn noodles, and ngoh hiang platter. All dishes were such good value since the portion and amount of seafood given were generous. My favorite was the prawn noodles broth - super thick and bursting with flavor and really mouthwatering! Overall, really enjoyed the meal and had a great experience.

Ordered the supreme prawn mee (dry), hokkien mee, and Ngoh Hiang. 10/10 would recommend! Hokkien mee has an intense wok hey taste which I really enjoyed and prawn mee broth was just the right amount of flavour, thickness, and ratio of ingredients. I also liked that we could choose from a variety of noodles for the prawn mee. Each dish has its own chilli sauce which complemented really well. Great service too :)

From the same group as P.S. Cafe, Jypsy serves up Japanese fusion food in an upscale yet casual space with relaxed vibes and plenty of warm tones. Naturally, if a riff of the famed P.S. Cafe shoestring fries were on the menu, we had to try them. The tower of crispy shredded potato impressed upon first sight, and definitely lived up to its presentation on first bite. It might have looked like alot, but we couldn't stop munching on these light yet tasty straws of lightly battered potato seasoned with white truffle oil and drizzles of teriyaki balsamic sauce. It maintained its crispiness even after having sat on the table for a while.

It's got a lot less body and thickness than the other premium seafood soups. The minced pork was the highlight for me previously, and I think it's still decent from the sole fish but abit dry and so it's not special

By no means bad, it's a very good option if you stay in the area, but not worth travelling for

My favourite food stall at Taman Jurong Hawker is B.B.Q. Seafood (03-178)! This is always my go-to stall when at this hawker, especially during dinner time! However, their queue to order and waiting time may be quite long on weekend! Visited on a weekday for this trip! No long queue to order and waiting time for food was just 11mins! The stall also started closing quite early a few minutes past 7.30pm as they were sold out! (operating hours is by right 12-8pm on weekends and 3-8pm on weekdays)

We had wanted to order the small stingray portion ($12) but it was already sold out so we had to get the large $16 stingray portion. Also got sambal sotong ($15) to go along! Rice is 50 cents each.

This is one of the nicer sambal stingray and sotong I have had in Singapore. Easily rank as top 3! The sambal is super fragrant and mild sweet and spicy! Not overly dry or spicy. Goes so well with plain white rice! Comfort food!
