This is actually from their sister store at #01-52, but I believe they use the same meats. The legendary 'bujiantian' charsiu was seriously damn good - think crispy caramelised charred outer layer encasing a wonderful soft and creamy fatty meat. oh. so. good. Didn't care much for the noodles or the watery curry though. Next time I'll just get charsiu and rice.

The siobak didn't have much skin, which is ridiculous. Moreover the meat was v thick so the crisp isn't really enough anyway even for the one tiny piece of skin I got, but the crisp is good

Char siew is overdone, to the point of being almost powdery at some parts. It's not particularly tender either

Located at ABC Hawker along Bukit Merah, Fatty Cheong is the go-to if you're craving for some really good char siew!

The char siew is the perfect glistening caramelised fatty strips of pork with crispy charred edges that's second to none. The shao rou/siu yoke has the best crackling skin that's oh so crunchy with a nice tender bite to the meat. Paired with your choice of rice or egg noodles, it's no wonder that you'd spot a long queue whenever you visit!

Theirs is very sweet and has a strong smell of alcohol. I don't like it at all but I guess part of it is personal preference

This was not v good at all. No flavour and tough

The siobak has a nice crisp and a very strong caramelised aroma.

Char siew has a powdery crust and was abit dry, and it wasn't as tender as I expected. Not sure if this is their bujiantian cut

Finally got to try the much vaunted “Not See Sky” Char Siew Rice from this stall. I ordered for take away one serving of “Not See Sky” Char Siew Rice and added Roast Pork and one Braised Egg. Costs $6 per packet.

The char Siew was very tender. It came with a layer of fat at the top and the meat below this layer had the same bite as pork neck meat. The caramelised sauce added a different dimension in flavour. One complaint is there was a bit of charred black section that should have been removed.

The roast pork was cut in large chunks. Just so so, nothing to scream about. But the char siew is definitely worth coming back again for.

Came to try their roasted pork based on Google reviews. The crackling was crispy and meat was warm. I asked for $10 worth and when I saw this portion - I’d still go back to my favourite stall (Tiong Bahru Roasted Meat stall at Telok Ayer, Market Street Interim Hawker).

One of those rare food brands I'd return to. This time roast meat stood out more than char siew, with crackling skin. Char siew I asked for a fat cut and it's nice, just not the crazy level Fatty Cheong can be.

Unlike the fried wantons at most places. These were thick and sumptuous. Unfortunately it's also $3.50 for just five to six pieces.

I’ve found this is the one of the best value-for-money. I ordered this through delivery, and when I received it, a good portion of the meat was still warm, and the crackling was still crisp and crunchy.

Love the way the meat was roasted as it’s tasty, without being overly salty. Plus point is, at the price of $20 for this 500g of meat! 👍

The creme de la creme of cheap roast, especially char siew. Always in my conversation for best char siew because I've never had a bad meal with the man. This cut was so fatty, well done and generous (disclaimer for people who don't like overly fatty). Everything else was competent. In case you didn't know, they have two stalls in this hawker centre focusing on different things.

Forget about health and indulge. The char siew is well-charred and delish; the roast duck has the right amount of fat; the roast pork is good but less brilliant as the crackling is not so crispy. Prices are reasonable - a fraction of the price at Crystal Jade Kitchen and at least as good. No wonder there’s always a queue.

Ordered 1/2kg of Roasted Pork again after my first positive experience. Today’s cut had all crackling crisp and meat was pinkish, plus all neatly cut up! 👍

Ordered 1/2kg worth of roasted pork. The crackling was good! I like that the meat isn’t too salty, unlike some other stalls; it’s just amount the right amount of tastiness.

Without me mentioning , you can see how value for money this char siew Wanton noodle is .

The char siew is nicely done , slightly charred outside but still nice and moist inside .

The Star is really the noodles - springy with a nice chew without any trace of alkaline taste .

The homemade sambal chilli is also the bomb .
Nicely rounding up the whole dish together.

One of my favourite Wanton noodles and ohhh so affordable at 3.50.

Whenever I am feeling low, I look around me and I know
there’s a place that will stay within me, wherever I may choose to go. I will always recall the stall where they serve up the best roast meats, and that is Fatty Cheong.

At $8 for the holy trinity of roast duck, roast pork & char siew, it’s a shocking steal. Y’all already know all about their fatty, smoky and savory char siew is, how unbelievably unctuous their sio bak is, and of course, y’all know all about that ridiculously redolent roast duck. But that dark, delicious gravy just holds it all together oh so perfectly, and floods the steamed rice with flavor.

This is home, truly, where I know I must eat. Where my dreams wait for me, where the gravy always flows.

Fatty Cheong has opened up a new noodle stall right at the back of ABC Hawker Center, and for five bucks, you too could get a plate of sapid shui gao (soup wonton) hor fun.

While the shui gaos aren’t the best as the skin is too thick, it’s still quite quaint in its own right. Due to the generosity of Fatty Cheong (who I’m gonna go out on a limb and assume is the owner), those shui gaos are pretty plump and sensationally superb. The hor fun is done al dente, and the standard issue chili is rather redolent and spicy. Of course, Fatty Cheong’s sinfully stellar char siew makes everything better.

Hey, if you liked the noodles at the OG stall, you’re gonna love this one.

The char siew is very tender and has the fragrance of the charred taste. The dark sauce and the chilli sauce pair beautifully with the char siew and rice. The rice is abit dry though, which is why the sauce comes in useful. Score: 9/10
