6 Decadent Dessert Cafes In Singapore

National Dessert Day is coming soon! That means it’s time to treat yourself to some decadent desserts.

Are you into all things sugary? Do you always save some room in your tummy for dessert no matter what? If you’ve answered yes to both questions, chances are you’d want to end your meal on a sweet note; in which case, we’ve got just the list for you!

Apiary

For Speciality Ice Cream & Waffles
As their name suggests, Apiary is essentially a ‘beehive’ that’s filled with smooth and creamy ice cream and sorbets. In fact, the duo behind the creamery believe in using only the freshest ingredients in their dairy products, all of which are pasteurised on site. Some flavours that have become synonymous with their brand include the Blue Milk and Caramelised Strawberry ($4.20 for a single scoop, $8 for a double). Pair these with their freshly made-to-order Waffle ($6) and you’ll be immensely satisfied!

2am: Dessert Bar

For Artfully Crafted Desserts
Conceived by notable pastry chef Janice Wong, 2am: Dessert Bar truly redefines what plated desserts are by pushing the boundaries between sweet and savoury in their extensive menu of elaborate treats. The Chocolate H20 ($22) is perhaps one of their most popular offerings to date—this comes with a chocolate water mousse that’s drizzled over with caramel sauce, a yuzu sorbet quenelle, a burnt caramel parfait, along with drops of yuzu calamansi sauce, and chocolate soil on the side. Who says you can’t have dessert for supper?

Creamery Boutique Ice Creams

For Oozing Lava Cookies
Creamery Boutique Ice Creams serves premium quality homemade ice cream on soft ‘lava’ cookies which ooze when pressed down upon. Try their classic Volcano Charcoal Cookie with Salted Egg Lava ($9.90) and pair this with any of their Ice Cream ($3.80 for a scoop, $6.20 for a double, $8.90 for a triple) flavours for a sinfully sweet treat!

Windowsill Pies

For Handmade Pies
Windowsill’s pies are all handmade with love. No matter which flavour you pick, you’ll find that each pie boasts a buttery and flakey pastry crust that’s to die for. One of their crowd favourites has got to be the 9-inch Morello Sour Cherry Pie ($67 for a whole pie/10 slices) which is loaded with a home-cooked sticky cherry jam and tucked into a pie with a hand-woven pastry lattice. Talk about attention to detail and intricacy!

Sunday Folks

For Wonderful Belgian Waffles
It’s Sunday, folks! You know what that means? It’s time for a dose of delicious desserts and coffee to boot. This dessert shop is better known for their waffle combinations—opt for their freshly baked Belgian Waffles paired with strawberries and blueberries ($8) or with a serving of freshly churned Seasalt Gula Melaka, Dark Chocolate or Earl Grey Lavender ($10.50). All waffles come with maple syrup and a chocolate hazelnut sauce!

Birds of Paradise

For Great Gelato
We sure know where we’d like to flock to when we need to get our gelato fix sorted! Inspired by the botanical flavours of nature, Birds of Paradise delights in creating gelato of the finest quality—their range of signature flavours are all made from premium and natural ingredients including fruits, flowers, and pods.

To pay homage to the South East Asian region, they’ve also infused some familiar herbs and spices in a couple of their gelato flavours; you’ll find that these are most prominent in their Lemongrass Ginger and Spiced Pear ($4.70 for a single scoop in a cup, $7.70 for a double).
