A Bangkok Invasion
This historical building located in W Bangkok is the main subject for the events that took place during the weekend, as the head chef of Paii at the House on Sathorn, Joe Weeraket prepared a selection of incredible dishes, together with his Malaysian counterpart Suhalmi Mohammed Md Tasir at Flock.

The Social Table
This annual event (The Social Table) was the base for the incredible collaboration. Featuring an all encompassing buffet that had all manner of meats, seafood and desserts.

Incredible Local and Thai flavors
Each chef prepared 4 dishes that emphasized the flavors of their home country. We thoroughly enjoyed the Coconut Umbut by Chef Suhalmi, and the Hoy Lord Ped Sauce from Chef Joe. The former was a scallop, shell and all, served on dry ice, with a spinach sauce, giving the dish an earthy and umami combo. The latter was tender razor clam with a tasty and spicy sambal like sauce, which had stronger Thai flavor from what we assume was lemon grass.

Trademark Cocktails
The dining event was not the only thing that marked a Bangkok takeover. The night before, mixologist Pakorn Jatinai (Golf) from The Bar on House of Sathorn wowed cocktail enthusiasts with several signature mixes.

Beats by the Pool
A pool party would be the best way to draw the curtains on the Bangkok takeover, and that's exactly what happened. The Bangkok invaders along with local DJ's made for a truly energetic music event, which was made even more lively thanks to the talented mixologists of W Kuala Lumpur.
