For Breakfast
This place not only opens early, but it's Michelin Guide approved! The chef and owner of this establishment was awarded the Michelin Guide Award in Singapore in 2016 and has now opened a kitchen of his own. The food is testament to the award and we recommend trying out everything on the menu, especially the Kampung Pandan rice with Rendang chicken (RM12.90), which has incredibly tender chicken drumstick spiced up with Rendang seasoning.

For Coffee And Local Delights
Opened under the same name as a popular chain of local jewelry stores, the coffee here is indeed "gold-standard". Try out their selection of Frappuccino, such as the chocolate cream Oreo, mochaccino, and caramel cream, each drink is RM14.50. For meals have their Nasi Lemak Sambal Sotong (RM12.50), which doesn't come with the regular Sambal, but one that is loaded with squid instead.

For Ramen
Serving up light broths and hearty cuts of Chashu, this place is definitely the spot for Ramen enthusiasts. We recommend the original pork belly ramen (RM24.80), which boasts two extra large pieces of pork belly. The black garlic and spicy variations are also worth a go (RM25.80).

For Mee Rebus
This legendary Mee Rebus restaurant now has a new outlet located in Nusajaya. You can't go wrong with the Mee Rebus here, but the new outlet also comes with a new menu. Try out their Rendang beef or Rendang chicken (RM11.90) nasi lemak, which is spectacular, especially since the beef and chicken are both juicy and tender, and go absolutely well with the spicy sambal.

For Authentic Japanese Food
Authentic and Halal Japanese food is something that is incredibly rare in Johor, and 244 Izakaya is the unicorn that you seek. We'll start off by telling you that the Wasabi here is freshly grated from a real Wasabi root, which is already amazing in itself, and pair this with the owner's many years of cooking in Japan you get an astonishingly authentic spread. Go for their Chirashi bowl (RM69), which is loaded with salmon, red snapper, salmon roe, a raw egg and of course, rice. They also serve up Wagyu for those who wish to spend a little more to experience this glorious beef from Japan. At RM150 you can enjoy a decent portion of A5 Miyazaki, that you can grill over a Binchotan at your table.
