For Durian Cendol
Hot or cold outside, a bowl of ice cold cendol will always hit the spot. Hop down to this famous Penang Teochew Chendol joint to get some of that creamy, greeny goodness. Durian cendol (RM13.90) is a staple here and popular with customers, or go for the basic, original Cendol (RM6.90). For something other than desserts, try out their Penang style Fruit Rojak (RM8.90), or Prawn me, and Asam Laksa, which are RM11.90 each.

For Grilled Chicken Skin
Tori King serves up Yakitori, and they have quite a few to choose from, like the basic grilled chicken thigh (RM2.80), Unagi (RM6), Chicken with leeks (RM3.20) to the enticing, such as the grilled chicken skin (RM2). There are two ways you can purchase Yakitori here, either individually by selecting each stick or as a Bento (Starting at RM7.90 for 3 tamagoyaki, to RM24.90 for 4 sticks of Unagi). Buying a Bento will see you save some money, as a set of 6 grilled chicken skin skewers is only RM10.90 (buying 6 individually would cost RM12). Once you’re done with the selection of skewers, you can choose one of three coatings, either original which is teriyaki sauce, spicy, which has chilli flakes, or crushed seaweed.

For Pizzas and Pastas
Pastas and Paninis are the name of the game here at Vivo. They have all the classic Italian treats, such as a seafood spaghetti aglio olio (RM26.92), spicy carbonara prawn (RM26.50), Carbonara linguine (RM25.92) and beef lasagna (RM21.89). The main attraction at Vivo would definitely be their pizzas. Starting from 8 inches (RM25.50) to 14 inches (RM47.50), there are several notable toppings to choose from, such as smoked salmon, spicy seafood, five cheese (Cheddar cheese, cream cheese, parmesan, mozzarella and coloured cheddar), and their “Chef’s Favourite”, which is a combination of chicken chunks, chicken strips, beef pepperoni, chicken sausage, juicy pineapple, their special pizza sauce and extra virgin olive oil. Now that's a bite of Italy right here in Johor.

Nando’sPhoto by Burppler Good Food

For Spicy South African Cajun Chicken
Crank up the heat! These hot sauced coated chicken are bound to make you sweat. Nando’s is the name that comes up whenever Malaysians say “Cajun”, and Cajun it truly is. Ordering is easy as it’s all chicken, choose from a quarter chicken (RM21.90), half a chicken (RM35.90), wings (RM29.90) and butterflied chicken breasts (RM30.90). Each of those comes with 1 side dish which you can choose from a selection of cajun fried, corn, rice, and vegetables. Then comes the biggest choice of all, the sauce. For the staple peri-peri sauce, there's mild, hot and extra hot, and for the not so adventurous, there's tomato or herb sauce. Our recommendation is to pick the least spicy one as you can always add on more spice later on via the provided bottles of sauce.

Cosy ambience, delectable bread and pastries, and just wonderful egg tarts. Lavender bakery is well known for their egg tarts (RM2.60 a piece), which are oval in shape, as opposed to the usual round ones. Here at the Aeon Tebrau branch, you can have a seat and enjoy the selection they have, definitely try the chicken pot pie (RM4.20), raisin sand (A Japanese raisin sandwich, RM26.50 for 5 pieces) and Macarons (RM13.50 for 3).

Thats about it for this feature, but before we end it, Aeon Tebrau City mall has a food court at the ground floor of their Aeon supermarket. This food court serves sushi, sashimi, donburi, okonomiyaki, takoyaki, and even grilled salmon, give it a shot if you’re there.
