Guide To Eating Your Way In Starhill

In 2019 The Starhill Dining Room has been completely renovated, but not until mid-2020 when the government has eased up on the first MCO that it opened to the public. The entire floor, which is one floor below YTL's JW Marriott hotel and the opulent Starhill Gallery in Bukit Bintang, has been completely transformed.

The room has been completely revamped to accommodate a sleek and elegant eating layout. The Asian gastronomical culinary hub is long gone, replaced with a handful of impressive selection eating options that will excite the interest of even the most discerning tastebuds. Although your favourite restaurants are still there here is what you can expect from The New Starhill Dining Room.

It may be difficult to choose from the large menu; nevertheless, there are some signature house recommendations. Chef's Steamed Crystal Prawn Dumpling 'Har Gau' (RM 20) demonstrates his versatility. While Shook! has undergone a gorgeous transformation, its soul remains unchanged. Poignant service and old-fashioned hospitality stay steadfast foundations beneath the marble, art deco geometrics, and polished surfaces.

Shook! Dancing Prawns (RM 60) has been on the menu since its beginnings, bridging the gap between the old and the new. Crunchy exterior, hot wok-fried prawns are topped with a thin batter coating and a generous dousing of zesty aioli emulsion. The secret is in the sauce, but a couple of drops of crystallised walnuts certainly ups the ante.

You might want to try their Ikan Bakar Rica Rica (RM80). The dish consists of baked barramundi brined in a hot and spicy bumbu sauce and finished with coconut sambal. The meat is tender and juicy, and it goes well with rice. The Pappardelle Angus Ragu is a sure bet (RM70). A delicious pappardelle pasta braised with a rich braised Angus beef brisket confit, seasoned with black pepper-Parmesan crostini, will be served.
