Lobster Penne Pasta A weekly main for the restaurant's Executive Set Lunch... Honest opinion is damn worth the price of $29.90 (gst not included yet) It comes with a free flow of salad bar items, soup and bread, 3 choices of mains (I chose the Lobster Penne Pasta) and for the finale with a choice of any tea or coffee (cold/hot) If you are working at CBD, definitely is worth the visit...

Australian Wagyu Striploin Steak ($68). You know how crazy the lunchtime crowd at CBD can get, but you probably didn't know that there's this quaint restaurant located in the midst of all the mayhem, along Shenton Way on the 7th floor of Oakwood Premier OUE Singapore. 馃敻 The lunch set menu starts from around $30, but I must also recommend this juicy steak with a crisp herby crust. This well-marbled wagyu from Queensland was seasoned with pink Himalayan salt and herbs and seared till the meat is juicy, succulent and tender. To complete the meal, it was served with grilled asparagus, portobello mushrooms and cheesy polenta. 馃敻 Besides this, they serve good Crispy Chicken Wings with Truffle Maple Drizzle ($12), and some newly launched dishes such as Vegetable Fritters ($8); St. Louis-Style Barbecue Pork Ribs ($36); Pan-Seared Salmon ($34); and Vongole Pasta ($26). 馃敻 [Tasting] #oakwoodpremier #foodphotography #fujixh1 #exploresingapore #burpple #singaporeinsiders #eatoutsg #foodiegram #sgfood #foodsg #instasg #foodstagram #instafood #instafood_sg #hungrygowhere #cafesg #foodgasm #sgfoodblogger #vscofood #sgig #cafehoppingsg #stfoodtrending #flatlay #sgdinner #dinnersg #appetizer #cbdeats #burpproved #wagyusteak #burpplesg

quesadilla party This place is absolutely buzzing on the weekends - was really lucky to snag a table on a Friday night! We tried the Carne Asada (beef, $19++) and Kimchi Pork ($18++). The quesadillas are not quite the usual - instead of being filled with cheese, the tortilla wraps were coated with it and grilled to crisp! It made for a sinfully good meal. Found the steak flavourful but a tad bit difficult to chew. The pork belly was more tender, and the kimchi within gave a delightful spicy zest that helped break up the savoury heaviness of the cheese. Both were topped with onions, cilantro, sour cream and chilli sauce! Plus points to Vatos for the complimentary starter - the nachos paired well with the tangy salsa and guacamole 馃憤馃徏馃専

Taco Sunday! Highly recommend the baja (fish) ($17 for 3). The chimichurri chicken is good and meaty too. My friends and I enjoyed also the prawn a previous visit. The carne asada is quite chewy and too spicy for us. Braised carnitas has a lot of meat but nothing special. I like soft flour tortillas and these were warm and super soft. Sundays happy hour is 12 noon to 7pm one for one certain beers. Really good value using #burpplebeyond

[馃搷 Porta - Revisit] Made a revisit to Porta for their 3course meal again. Ordered: Appetisers 1. Spanish octopus鉂 -The octopus was perfectly cooked - Chewy yet tender. This was my mum's favourite dish of the day and she even commented that it was the best cooked octopus she had ever eaten. Yeaps so highly recommend this dish!! The baby potatoes (patatas bravas) that comes along was also very delicious. The exterior was crispy while the interior was creamy like mash potato. 2. Prawn and avocado - The guacamole was very well-seasoned and complemented well with the corn chips. It didnt feel overly jelat or clogging. I really love the romesco sauce as it brings an additional spice flavour to the whole dish. Mains 1. Iberico pork chop - Read a lot of reviews about how amazing this pork chop is. To be honest, it was good and tender but not mindblowing or impressively fantastic. The creamy tangy mash sauce can be a little too clogging after some time. Had better and more well-marinated pork chop elsewhere before but i must say that i am glad that the meat is tender and had good fat-to-meat ratio. 2. Pan-seared salmon with pumpkin sauce - The salmon was a little too dry and overcooked. Probably might be due to the fact that i ordered well done. Could probably have the doness to be medium so that it will be more moist and tender. I was impressed by the pumpkin sauce and felt that it really complemented well with the salmon. Love the subtle natural sweetness of the pumpkin puree. Desserts 1. Deconstructed black forest - The chocolate lava cake was on the sweeter side despite being dark chocolate. Was really impressed by the maraschino cherry's subtle acohol taste馃槉 2. Deconstructed tiramisu鉂 - Ordered this dessert again because i really love their choco/coffee cake (perfect level of sweetness) as it was aromatic and had subtle gao bitter undertone. Really complemented well with the icecream and coffee jelly. Worth it: 3.5/5 (Good ambience, quality as well as service. Plus the food was really above average... with the burpple beyond 1 for 1 it will BE 100% worth it) Taste: 4/5 (Hits and misses but the standard is really above average) Overall: 8/10 #burpple #portasg

Great appetisers! (Octupus and salmon) Enjoyed a 3 course meal at half the price with Burpple Beyond. We were particularly impressed with the appetisers (the octupus and the salmon). As for mains, the rib eye steak was great and nicely cooked. The pork was flavourful but too tough. The desserts were too overwhelming in our opinion (tiramisu went a tad too hard on the coffee, key lime meringue was a bit too sour). That said, it was good that we had a nice mix of flavours. Service was also excellent! Worth a try with Burpple Beyond.

Oh dear, the weekend is gonna fly PASTA again! 鉁堚湀鉁 Gotta treasure my Sunday! 鉂 I am usually not a fan of cream-based PASTAs as they can get really heavy & surfeiting. 馃ぃ However, this Fettucine with shrimp in lemon cream sauce ($22++) at @pizza_logic_sg eased my worries! 鉁岎煆 . The tangy lemon zest 馃崑 was pretty refreshing, making the cream sauce lighter on the palate. 鉁 Coating every strand of pasta, the luscious sauce rendered an extremely creamy mouthfeel. Topped with springy prawns 馃 & caviar for that luxurious touch, this was a winner! 馃挴 . Fans of tomato-based pastas 馃崊 can try their Paccheri with Neapolitan meat sauce ($22++), which comes with a generous amount of meatballs & spare ribs! 馃崫 The paccheri in tube shape was pretty new to me - reminded me of mee hoon kueh but thinner & smoother! 馃憤馃徎馃憤馃徎馃憤馃徎 Albeit not fall-off-the-bone tender, the spare ribs were extremely flavourful & sufficiently succulent. 馃構 . For meat-lovers or those on Keto, you can go for their Thin sliced Italian steak Tagliata ($32++), which features a slab of steak 馃ォ topped with crisp Arugula & cherry tomatoes 馃崊, drizzled with olive oil & balsamic vinegar. 馃憣馃徎

Asian & Western Fusion I ordered the curry crab linguine and the chocona cake, and both dishes were really delicious. I enjoyed the curry crab linguine as it was an interesting Western and Asian fusion dish, and I鈥檝e never had something like this before! The crab was very tender, and the curry was not overpowering at all. The chocona cake and the toppings (nuts, syrup, coconut) went really well together, and it was a good end to the meal. Service was really good as well. I accidentally broke a glass (so sorry!) and they were really efficient in cleaning it up and making me feel at ease :) Ambience was great as well, and i would definitely bring my friends here again. I鈥檓 looking forward to more fusion food!!

cod fish and chips i ordered the cod fish and chips that came with mentaiko fries and the dish was simply delicious! usually not the biggest fan of cod fish but this was very fresh and tender. i enjoyed the mentaiko fries even more, they were so delicious that i was tempted to order more. the overall ambiance of the place was nice as well. it is a little small but cozy and a great place for catching up with family and friends. however, it got really crowded at 7pm so i would suggest reserving a table to prevent disappointment. the staff were really friendly and nice as well. everything went smoothly and i would recommend visiting this place as they offer a lot of amazing fusion dishes!

Truffle Chicken With Foie Gras $28 A tender chicken thigh, creamy slab of foie gras, served on a bed of creamy mash. Then topped with truffle shavings. The truffle was barely discernable but not necessary in the first place anyway because every other component was so well done. I thought this dish was fantastic and super value for money.

Hainanese Chicken Satay ($9.80/5 pieces, $16.80/10 pieces, $26.80/20 pieces ). This is not your usual satay. Delectable marinate checked, beautiful grill checked, succulence and juiciness of chicken chunks checked, balance between chicken meat and fats checked. I usually avoid eating fats, but I found myself enjoying them here, especially coating with the thick peanut sauce that had an extra dimension of fruity sweetness from pineapple. Sprinkled with chopped peanuts and served with a side of sweet, spicy, sour, crunchy achar. Enjoy eating house and bar is also a #burpplebeyond partner where you can enjoy 1-for-1 mains (and drinks)!

Signature Salt Baked Seabass ($31.80). If you are dining in a group, this massive signature salt baked whole seabass is one good dish for sharing. Baked in salt to highlight the freshness and sweetness of the fish itself, you will be surprised by the myriad of herbs hidden within its stomach as it gets cut opened. It鈥檚 a clever way to infuse some green, herbaceous flavour to complement the freshness of the fish. Don鈥檛 forget the Thai-style dipping sauce to go with the fish, as it further accentuates the overall sweetness, a little tangy spiciness and some unami-ness from the fish sauce.

Singapore Style Chilli Prawns ($18.80). Add-on Mantous ($2/4 Pieces). A dish at @enjoyeatinghouse that got me all excited with its twist of fresh prawns cooked in Singapore鈥檚 very own famous chilli crab sauce. Swimming in the thick sauce were a whole lot of seafood gems including squid 馃 and plump, juicy prawns 馃 that were already de-shelled for diners鈥 convenience. Personally, the sauce was tangy and slightly sweet instead of a spicier kick that could have probably made it even more flavourful. Despite so, I would still gladly mop up the sauce with the crispy deep-fried mantous that should not be missed. 鈥 @enjoyeatinghouse is a #burpplebeyond partner; food is even more enjoyable when you get 1-for-1 mains!

Duck Leg Confit with Cannellini & Cherry Tomatoes [MEDIA] SONS deserves credit for its tasteful presentation of its dishes, like this Duck Leg Confit with Cannellini & Cherry Tomatoes [$26]. 馃憠Casarecce with Truffle Pesto & Porcini Mushrooms馃憟 Located amongst the heritage-chic shophouses along Nankin Row (at @chinasquarecentral) is @sons.singapore, a buzzy rustic trattoria-style bar and restaurant that serves classic Italian fare with a touch of modernity. They also have a curated list of Italian wines馃, craft beers馃嵒 & cocktails馃嵐 to enhance your dining experience. 銆 It was my first time having this Sicilian twisted tube-shaped pasta which actually holds the truffle pesto sauce pretty well. However, I didn鈥檛 exactly like the texture of this pasta as it was kinda doughy for me. Overall, it was still a pretty decent meal. 銆 Wanted to try their Spaghetti with Sea Urchin Carbonara but most reviews stated that the flavour was quite one-dimensional, with not much hint of sea urchin. 銆 P.S.
