Pistacchio & Vanilla Gelato The pistachio gelato was fantastic, nutty, rich, and deeply flavoured, with a smooth, creamy texture that coated the palate. The vanilla gelato was fragrant and silky, speckled with authentic vanilla bean, offering a lighter, cooling balance. Together, they were visually appealing with contrasting hues, and texturally indulgent yet refreshing.

Tortino Caldo al Cioccolato Homemade dark chocolate cake, served with vanilla gelato. A true showstopper, the molten centre oozed rich, velvety chocolate, warm and aromatic. The contrast of hot cake and cold gelato was striking, the vanilla’s cool creaminess tempering the intensity of the chocolate. The sound of the crumble topping breaking gave way to a moist, indulgent bite, leaving a deep cocoa resonance.

Panna Cotta alle Albicocche Madagascar vanilla panna cotta, poached apricots, caramelised almond. Silky and delicate, the panna cotta trembled lightly to the touch, its fragrance subtle and clean. The apricots added a gentle tartness, while the almonds gave crunch and nutty aroma. Best savoured first for its light, creamy taste before heavier desserts mask its smooth elegance.

Yuan Yang Waffle The yuan yang waffle comes half muah chee and half nian gao, chewy stretch on one side and sticky bite on the other with crisp edges holding it together. Actual pieces of muah chee coated with peanut sit on top, adding chew and nutty crunch that make the texture more layered. Honeycomb and caramelised banana with choco chip gelato bring sweetness but the flavours feel ordinary. The waffle itself feels more memorable, especially with the peanut‑muah chee combo. Creamy Kimchi Ramyeon w/ Fried Chicken Ham 10/10 The creaminess, savouriness and cheesiness is what makes this dish the best in this restaurant. Would 100% buy again.

Iced Tangerine & Lemon Tea 8/10 Refreshing. Little tangerine taste. Would buy again.

Tteokbokki Spicy Gochujang w/ extra cheese 6/10 The sauce is on the sweeter side and the spice is quite little. Tteokbokki itself is not bad. Would NOT buy again.

Kimchi Soup Broth ($8.80) ($1 - instant noodle) really value money especially they got a lot of variety for ingredients and also 4 types of soup broth.

Mixed Fish Soup ($6) w add on rice ($0.50) but i didnt ordered famous grouper fish head bc i dont really eat fish head. But the ingredients serving size was really giving a lot as the taste was quite bland tbh.

Fish Roe ($2) its quite nice and savoury aftertaste tbh but too much for me. But they deep fried in advance before lunch time crowd.

Mala (Medium Spicy) Mala at Ascend Vegetarian 😋 We ordered the Medium Spicy Level, 🌶️🌶️, I thought I was gonna die, luckily I survived. We chose broccoli 🥦, beancurd skin, mock meat, lotus root and many more 🤩 For noodles, we got the spinach and purple potato flavour. It was well seasoned and pairing it with peanut sauce was delicious 😍 Portion was huge, this was worth the trip and value for money 💰 This place is fully vegetarian with no alliums. Spicy Chinese cuisiine The dishes were really spicy. 辣子鸡🌶️was especially so. Dishes were filled with spices though some were filled with too much spices. Tried the frog as well and it was tasty. Overall nice meal for spice and Chinese cuisine lovers.

authentic hangzhou food! the chicken soup was the star of the show, it was really flavourful and unique. we tried some other handmade dishes as well like the egg pancake and the soup dumplings, and we loved the boiled pear with white fungus for dessert as well. all in all delicious food you wont find anywhere else in sg!

Unique Soup Dish rarely seen in Singapore we visited on a weekday night and the placed was packed. we tried grandma’s secret dishes (medium) and we found the soup unique and not greasy, and its aroma was rich and comforting. the shredded pork mixed noodles was nice and filling, the youbu style egg cake was packed with meat and also not too salty, and it was a great appetiser. the steamed dumplings felt freshly made, and the portion of the drinks they gave is really generous. this experience felt like we were having authentic jiangnan cuisine, and we would be back again for the soup!

Comforting Soup The portions were surprisingly generous! honestly enough for 2 pax to share comfortably. Taste wise, I feel that their signature soup was the most tasty, with lots of filling as well. The boiled pear and white fungus was quite comforting when served warm, and was surprisingly filled to the brim with ingredients. But what really surprised me was the lime roselle tea. It was not only refreshing, but I also appreciate the fact that they used actual roselle and lime instead of just flavouring, which made the drink so much better! I saw other table ordered some veggie dishes and soup, and I think I will order that for my next visit when I'm nearby as it looks really yummy!
