Really comforting dumplings Visited with my spouse and really enjoyed everything. The bibim myeon and naengmyeon were super tasty, the dumpling soup was warm and satisfying, and the kimchi pancake had great crunch. The mango bingsu was a perfect ending. Great spot!

Dinner with partner The restaurant made me feel very comfortable. For a place with BBQ I thought it would be smokey but I left the place without any BBQ smell on me. The charcoal-grilled meat were well cooked with the help of the server. Pleasant place to spend a special evening with my partner

Great spot for Korean BBQ My partner and I had a fantastic dining experience here! We ordered the House Feast, which was a great choice—it included the boneless short ribs, marinated ribeye cap, and thinly sliced brisket. The service was impeccable. The staff were friendly and grilled all the meat for us, even guiding us on which cuts to eat first so we could enjoy them at the perfect temperature. I also loved that the banchan (side dishes) were plentiful and refillable, making for a great snack while we waited. The meal was rounded out perfectly with a light steamed egg and a hearty soybean soup packed with beef and tofu. The atmosphere is lovely—perfect for a date night or catching up with friends. Highly recommend!

Spicy Marinated Steamed Chicken 口水鸡 This was a complimentary dish from one of the lovely staff and it turned out to be a highlight. Silky poached chicken, chilled and drenched in fragrant chilli oil with crunchy peanuts, cucumber and mashed garlic. Each wonton was plump, silky and filled with well‑seasoned meat, soaking up just enough of the fragrant chilli oil to stay flavourful without overwhelming. A dish that balances comfort. Truffle Shrooom pizza Nestled in the heart of Serangoon Gardens, yeast side cafe is a family-friendly cafe that truly exceeded my expectations. We kicked off our meal with their specialty pizza, the Truffle Shroom, which turned out to be utterly addictive. The dough was chewy, and each bite was packed with a robust truffle flavor that truffle lovers will surely appreciate. We also tried their spicy popcorn chicken, which was crispy on the outside yet tender inside, delivering just the right amount of spiciness without being overwhelming. We left with our taste buds satisfied and a promise to return to explore more from their menu. Thank you for the great experience!

Pandan Panna Cotta and Gelato + Evoo We had a delightful evening at Yeast Side (Serangoon Gardens), where every dish felt like it was made with genuine care and a touch of artistry. From Truffle Shrooms! Pizza to Spicy Popcorn Chicken. To wrap up, we couldn’t resist dessert — both the Pandan Panna Cotta (silky and fragrant, paired with strawberry compote) and the Gelato + Evoo (a fascinating combo of vanilla gelato, sea salt, and extra virgin olive oil) were simply outstanding. If you have room, these are non-negotiable finales.

Spicy Popcorn Chicken For spice seekers, the Spicy Popcorn Chicken is a must-try. The subtle Mala Szechuan heat doesn’t overwhelm at first but builds stealthily with each bite, leaving that signature tingle true Mala fans crave.

Coleslaw Set comes with 2 choices, so I picked Mashed Potato and Coleslaw out of their nine options. Still impressed by their sides portion, very generous. Just look at that coleslaw, easily three times more than other places. Coleslaw was juicy and sweet with fresh crunchy cabbage and carrot, plus a little tang.

Clean beefy taste, tender with a firm bite, juicy but dried at some parts. Luckily the black pepper sauce helped to moisten and give flavour. For local coffeeshop standard, pretty good, though I preferred medium rare. If got some salt and pepper on the side, even better. I still preferred their other dishes like the wagyu beef burger, chicken chop pasta, pork chop, and crispy fish. Chicken Wing ($1.70/pcs) Deep-fried to perfection. The golden brown hue says it all. Smooth, crispy skin that's even better than fast food joints. Clean greasy mouthfeel that doesn’t feel jelak. The oil penetrates the meat with a clean taste. You gotta try it to get what I mean.

Fresh Corn Juice (Hot)($3.80) Sweet corn flavour, watery-rich rather than creamy. Comforting to drink, though only served hot. A chilled version would be refreshing, but unlikely to appear.

Corn and Pork Dumpling ($7.80) Suspect it was served in a Cantonese soup with chilli and vinegar added to make it fiery and tangy. Despite being labelled fiery, the spice was mild, and is consistent with Cantonese cuisine’s gentle profile. Dumpling skin was moderately thick, with generous filling. Corn brought juiciness and sweetness that blended well with the pork.

Noodles with Beef Brisket ($9.50) Springy, chewy noodles with light seasoning. Beef brisket was soft and tender, tendon melted in the mouth. Beansprouts added crunch. Comforting and flavourful. It was the beef brisket that boosted the flavour of the noodles, otherwise I think the seasoning was way too light for me to enjoy.

Crème Brûlée Smooth vanilla bean custard with a crisp sugar top that cracks just right. Not too sweet, not too heavy—just a clean, satisfying finish to the meal. Bonus points for the fresh berries on top. Would order again if I’m craving something light but indulgent 》$10

Apple Brick Warm, crispy pastry with soft caramelised apples inside, like a fancy strudel but not too sweet. The vanilla gelato on crushed pistachios was a nice touch, added some crunch and creaminess. Loved the hot-cold contrast. Not too sweet, just a comforting end to the meal 》$12

Baby Back Ribs The pork ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, coated in a sweet-spicy glaze that that clings just right. Fries were crisp, greens were just there for balance 》$27

Yummyy Prawn broth was rich and tasty. I had the seafood pao fan which was served boiling hot with several fresh prawns and lala and it was so yummy and hearty! Side dishes and service were also good. Would recommend to try!

comforting bowl of prawn noodle soup zhup zhup supreme, very value for money! lots of noodles and ingredients. felt super full after the meal. they served the ingredients in another claypot bowl and my stomach was full of delicious soup! which they very nicely helped us to refill.

Good food, easy parking Went with my daughter for dinner, it was our first time trying Seng House. Parking was very convenient because there is a very big open carpark, right opposute the restaurant. Ambience is good, soft background music playing good for conversations with friends and family. Tried the smoked, squid & citrus, hainanese pork chop and fried ice cream & banana cake, accompanied with one of the craft beers, Jing-A mandarin wheat. Has a really good time, portions were just nice, we were nice and full. Favourite is the Hainanese pork chop, whole dish was really well put together, soft and tender pork, freshly fried fries and the sauce was nice. Will bring my wife to try this the next time we come.

Really good Hainanese pork chop! Brought my dad to Seng House for dinner, it was both of our first time! The ambience was really nice, I think I want to try coming here for brunch with my friends next time, would be a really nice place to just sit and chitchat. All I have to say is that the pork chop is a must try!! The pork was so tender and juicy, the fries were really fresh and had that real potato taste you know (sooo good even without any sauce) and the peas were such a nice side cause they were real sweet and i thought that realy brought the whole dish tgt. Also, i didn't know this until my dad told me, but apparently the pork chop is made using Hokkaido snow pork loin, very oomph 👌🏻 Definitely gna bring my mom here to try the hainanese pork chop soon! As for the other dishes, the squid was really nice too, i loved the pomelo on top and i've never had anything like it, plus the banana cake was quite moist.

Cozy Dinner Spot I popped by Seng House for dinner and everything we tried was surprisingly good. The Hainanese pork chop had that perfect crunchy coating with a tender middle, plus the tomato sauce tied it all together nicely. The spaghetti al granchio was super creamy and came with a generous amount of crab, so that was an easy win. also tried their matcha latte, which was smooth, slightly nutty, and really comforting. The environment was also pretty cozy. All in all, a satisfying meal. Definitely a place I wouldn’t mind going back to if I’m in the area.
