The vibes at Baristart Coffee are perfect for any cafe day. Although the prices may be high, their cream puffs are surely of a high standard too - and they are a must get for anyone coming down for a try. We’d definitely be back for round two!

𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗮 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗣𝘂𝗳𝗳 (𝟭 𝗳𝗼𝗿 $𝟳, 𝟯 𝗳𝗼𝗿 $𝟭𝟵.𝟱𝟬) Baristart is known for having one of the 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 cream puffs and we came here for our tea break a while back to try their January seasonal special: 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗮 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗣𝘂𝗳𝗳 (𝟭 𝗳𝗼𝗿 $𝟳, 𝟯 𝗳𝗼𝗿 $𝟭𝟵.𝟱𝟬). The moment we took our first bite, we instantly regretted not getting a box of 3. The cream puff looked like a fist sized crater, lightly dusted with matcha powder. When we cut into the puff, it revealed the most vibrant green matcha cream that just 𝗼𝗼𝘇𝗲𝗱 out. The matcha cream had a 𝘀𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 which balanced out the sweetness from the cream, we just couldn't get enough of it. .

Taste of Japan Love the chirashi bowl here! Generous portion or marinated salmon and the sushi rice was cooked well. Enjoyed the inclusion of the creamy avocado and this was a hearty and filling meal.

Ultimate Warrior Bowl Tried the Ultimate Warrior Bowl and it truly lives up to its name as the portion was huge! As a salmon lover, I had to try this as they are known for its salmon don(s). The salmon was nicely torched and topped off with mentaiko which is always a good mix as it elevates the salmon’s taste. The japanese rice was also very nicely prepared as it has that subtle sweetness in it which really compliments the salmon! Would recommend if you’re looking for a quick and easy japanese don lunch!

Well crafted dishes with quality ingredients Quality food ! Made with a lot of attention to detail and the best ingredients. We sat at the bar table and were able to see the food being prepared with a lot soul. All of them were really yummy. The prices are steep, but understandably as it is a fine dining experience. So it would be good for celebrations or anniversaries !! Overall really good experience 👏

Amazing dinner Had my dinner at One prawn & co and it was great. Food was prepared fast and the food was amazing. Would recommend for date night here!

Dinner not to forget!! Textures, flavors, presentation and everything was on point. The jumbo prawns and crispy prawn toast sealed the deal.

Truffle Somen with Ikura Morinaga's signature dish is undoubtedly their truffle somen with ikura. Thin al dente wheat flour somen noodles are served cold in a truffle soy sauce dip and topped with spring onion and ikura. It is light, refreshing and slurp-worthy! Whilst the ikura and spring onion give this dish bursts of umami and herbaceous flavours, I recommend having it with some wasabi to give it an additional spicy kick.

Deep Fried Octopus You don't really find deep fried octopus in most restaurants in Singapore so it's a must order whenever we see it. I like its addictive chewy texture and mellow sweet flavours. And more importantly, I would like to believe that it is a healthy alternative to deep fried chicken!

Grilled Miso Pork Tender juicy pork glazed with sweet miso and chargrilled to perfection is the perfect antidote to a dreary work day. My only complaint though was the small portion!

29 May 25 - The House Chungdam Went on a lovely evening with my partner as we were craving for a good Kbbq. Chanced upon The House Chungdam with its modern vibes and interior. We chose The House Feast for 2. Big variety of the side dishes and the meat portions were generous. Super solid service with the waiter grilling the meat for us and constantly checking to see if we needed anything. Highly recommended for anyone looking for K BBQ in town!

Not your usual KBBQ! Chic and Elegant KBBQ Experience! ✨ Usually when you think of KBBQ its greasy, oily and overall messy. But here? They keep the clean aesthetics of the place but still satisfying ur cravings for a good hearty meal of KBBQ! They stay true to the authentic korean bbq and serve delicious homemade ssamjang and doenjang but with a more elegant and chic aesthetic. Perfect for when you're all dressed up for a date, craving for kbbq, but don't want that oily stench following you around after the meal. They also make sure everything is bitesized and easy to eat so you don't have to worry about things getting messy. Really nice place to visit for a sweet KBBQ date or even a family dinner~ Me and my friend had ordered the pork set which includes soft egg, soybean paste soup and all the complimentary sides which are all refillable. We requested for them to cook the meat for us and they did it with so much grace. It was a beautiful experience dining here. The meat was delicious and I must mention the soybean paste soup that came with the set was amazing! The soup was concentrated but doesn't feel too thick and is very palatable. They are also very generous with the ingredients in the soup and full of flavour. Plenty of the sauces are homemade as well like their ssamjang, salad sauce and kimchi. They had some very interesting choices from their menu and even though the pork set would have been plentiful enough, my and my friend decided to try their bibim mandu and potato cheese jeon. I especially loved how creative the bibim mandu is! It is literally a bowl just like bibimbap but the rice is changed into ricecake and the intention is to eat all the ingredients together like you would with bibimbap. It felt like eating a wholesome bite of bibimbap in one mouth. The chewy texture of the ricecake really adds to the dish and i'd recommend everyone to give it a try! 😋 The potato cheese jeon is also really delicious with every bite full of crispy potato + cheesy goodness + luncheon meat to give you that extra flavour! It was definitely worth the order. Overall, me and my friend had a great time visiting The House of Chungdam with their elegant and welcoming atmosphere. Food was delicious and mess-free as well. Would definitely visit again with my family next time😊

Exquisite KBBQ Experience had a wonderful dinner with my friend the other day, the service here is great and welcoming, the staff directed us to our seats and served us promptly ! we ordered set 3 of the house feast and were pleasantly surprised that it came with a variety of dishes such as their soy bean soup and steamed eggs, which i find is pretty worth the price ! i especially enjoyed their soup as it was bursting with nourishing flavours and it tasted so homely. they also prepared a variety of condiments and vegetables to go with the perfectly cooked meat, not only were they homemade, they tasted scrumptious too, and the fact that we were able to ask for refills was a plus too as we found ourselves asking for seconds, especially the lettuces drowned in their tasty homemade sauce ! We ordered their Cheese-Potato Jeon and their Bibim Mandoo as well. These two were my personal favourites of the night, they were incredibly flavourful. The Cheese-Potato Jeon was fried to perfection, they were really generous with the cheese filling which I really love, with every bite got me wanting more of it even though it was quite filling after the first piece. The Bibim Mandoo was something new but I enjoyed the sweet and chewy texture of it. Will definitely be ordering these again when I come back in the future !

Lovely dinner at Ingleside Had a lovely dinner at Ingleside! The whole vibe was warm and welcoming, and the service was top-notch—especially from Mateo, who was friendly, attentive, and really knew the menu. The rest of the staff were also kind and made us feel at home. We started with sourdough bread and Ingleside’s seasonal fermented butter. The bread was crusty and chewy, and the butter had a unique tangy flavour that really stood out—simple but done really well. For mains, we had the Atlantic Octopus and the Lampino Iberico Chuletero. The octopus was tender and nicely charred, while the Iberico pork was juicy, rich, and full of flavour—definitely a highlight. You could tell the ingredients were high quality and treated with care. We also tried the in-house fermented ice lemon tea, which was super refreshing. It had a slightly sour, fizzy kick that made it way more interesting than a regular iced tea. Overall, Ingleside delivered a well-rounded dining experience—great food, excellent service, and a nice atmosphere. Definitely a place I’d come back to for a special meal. Thanks to Mateo and the team for making it such an enjoyable evening!

Ingleside Had an amazing dinner at Ingleside Singapore! The star of the night? The Wagyu Picanha. Insanely juicy, rich, sweet and cooked to perfection. A perfect bite with the shallots and a touch of salt. Chill vibes, great service. Highly recommend!

Fermentation Done Right Had dinner at Ingleside and I’m still thinking about their Wagyu Picanha. One of the best steaks I’ve had, it was juicy, tender and had this subtle sweetness. Paired with some roasted banana shallots, it's a very addictive dish.

Here again for Thick cut fries with a big bowl of nachos cheese. ($7++)

Dry Pot Griddle Squid Rolls ($23.80) Chewy squid rolls packed with bold garlicky flavour and a moderate heat that lingers just enough. The standout is the generous sprinkle of BBQ-style spice powder, adding a smoky, umami kick that clings to each bite. Aromatic, punchy, and perfect with rice or a cold drink on the side. The white rice was slightly sticky, soft and clumpy enough to hold together, though it may not appeal to those who prefer their grains fluffier and more distinct.

Best Herbal Soup Ever! Tried the Collagen Premium NZ Fish Maw soup which came piping hot in a claypot, with a generous serving of abalones and codyceps. Rich and sweet flavour! Also had a delicious plate of homemade prawn rolls which was soft and meaty with a nice prawn dip!

Lovely herbal soups Heritage souphouse in Singapore. I used to drink the herbal soups here many many years ago when I lived nearby. Recently I came back to eat here with my daughter and the soups are as good as I remember. Enjoyed the ginseng black chicken soup and cordyceps chicken soup! Very generous with their herbs here and great herbal fragrance. Recommend!

amazing homely soup! service was pretty good, with good vibes from the staff! the staff took the effort to seat us at a spot that was more cooling, and also told us about the complimentary ice cream 😋 they were also enthusiastic in sharing with us about the ingredients they used in their cooking. we had the Ginseng Black Chicken Soup and Cordyceps Chicken Soup, both soups tasted amazing, and I could tell that the broth was cooked for hours. chicken was so soft and cooked so well that I enjoyed every bite. herbs in both soups were PACKED. for the sides, we had the signature jade tofu and aged preserved radish omelette. both were cooked well and i especially enjoyed the jade tofu. will definitely be one of the places i would return to!

Great pizza Prawn and chilli oil @ $26.50 Pizza crust is thin and has a very nice chewy texture. This flavour is nice but there isnt too much of chilli oil taste which is a little bit disappointing. Very nice and the place is a chill cafe at a HDB void deck, will go back again to try other flavours and the pasta as the menu is quite extensive.

The rich, umami mushroom gravy took it to the next level. The crispy fried fish was served piping hot that I nearly scalded myself with the first bite. Inside, it was soft, smooth, and melty; outside, a thin, crisp layer of breaded crumb gave it a tastisfying crunch. Paired with tartar sauce on the side, it was a fully tastisfying combo. The set also came with two sides of your choice from the nine available options. I don’t know what happened that day, but my mouth just blurted out CARBS AND MORE CARBS, so here we are with Japanese Curry Rice and Mac & Cheese. The curry rice featured a bowl of fluffy, fragrant white rice plated alongside the mains, then drenched in thick, flavourful Japanese curry sauce. As for the mac and cheese, it was soft and chewy with a standard nacho cheese mix, slightly tangy and generously portioned. No regrets on the carb bomb.

Char Siew & Roast Meat Rice Very long never eat here. New-ish stall. One of the stallholders is nice, unlike many shaola stalls. Both types of meat had a good balance of lean and fat.
